I'm not seeing any features where I can earn stars and customize my garden. Right now it's a weird chapter book mode where you earn lightening bolts to go through the forest. Not as exciting as it was when I played in the past

All the levels are becoming hard day by day, it's very irritating and frustrating. Why a level has to be so hard that one has to loose all the power to beat a level. At first I was addicted to the game and love playing but now I am losing interest. I still love the game but may be I will leave it, coz playing a level more 20times and unable to beat it and losing all the powers and then wait for the lives to refill to play and then again it becomes harder n harder.New update is worst.

I like the game, but its nearly impossible to beat levels unless you get a ton of powerups. there is not even close to enough moves to have a chance at beating some levels, and once youre out of power ups you're literally screwed.

I've been playing for 5 years. I used to really enjoy it but it's clear they are making it more difficult to play & get the rewards I used to get, probably to get players to pay to pass hard rounds. Explosive Rewards & Blackberry Treasure used to be a great feature but now they're slow to achieve & its getting boring. I'm a long term committed player who buys the season pass each month. The changes are making me not want to play anymore. If Playrix keep the game this way,they'll lose my business

love this game i been playing this game for almost a year and half, only thing that make me angry is the coins 🪙, when wining a level you going to win 10 coins 🪙 plas the bonus and hard level is 150 plas bonus and very hard is 170 but when you all your life you need 900 coins 🪙 to buy life and 900 coins 🪙 for power up so in the next update try increase the coins 🪙

I am disgusted with the latest updates on this game! the very worst is taking away the chat facility within the team. It cannot be a requirement as I can still chat to team members on my other game. All to slow progress obviously. It has taken the heart out of the game. progress is so slow that unless you spend a lot of money, you'll never get anywhere. As for the cards? nothing but duplicates!! players will be uninstalling in droves because of your greed

Please don't install this game. I am playing this game since 8 years and It was good at first and fun but then later as you progress they reduce the rewards, for everything new you have to pay. If you are stuck at any point, you have to have points or pay to get the points. And now recently they have started a new event called 'Grand Trophy' which appears every three days and it is mandatory to enter, you cannot opt out. And this event has repeated levels in a loop. It is frustrating.

Not As Advertised. The preview of this game fed to me while playing another was very different than it is after downloading. Had it been like the advertisement, I would have kept it. Recent updates have destroyed this game. This game now plays somewhat as a pay to progress game. The developers of Gardenscapes have reduced the prizes/powerups that players used to receive. The developers of Gardenscapes have taken away team chat so there is absolutely no way to communicate with your own team anymore. You at Gardenscapes should be ashamed of yourselves for drastically changing this game for the worse in a rapid fashion. 2026 killed this game.

Assembling all the outside landscaping gets boring. And the ads are a complete lie. There are no levels to choose. There are no single moms in despair. There are no snakes chasing anyone down a tube. Sucks since they started vibe coding, it seems everything is AI. It keeps glitching, events and levels doesn't work, suddenly all your coins or powerups might disappear, the powerups and rewards keep getting worse... no fun!

Edited Jul 17, 2026: I finally got the help i needed, so 3 stars. older review here: 5 stars to just 1 star and here's why: support and help is nonexistent. Gemstone expedition glitch caused me non-progress (can't use any energy up whatsoever despite racking xxxx amount); and gardening duties also stalled as a result. posted messages and emails asking for help but to NO AVAIL. Will probably uninstall if gemstone cycle ends in a few days -- without the ability for me to progress.

Very very very dissapointing with this games, let everybody gives the poorest score, and hope they can improve this apps! What exactly are you aiming for playrix by ruining a perfectly good game, It's harder than ever to earn coins the amount offered being way less, after completing the entire adventure series the amount of coins won is only 150, if anything this should be more for the number of tasks players have to complete to get there and the levels keep getting difficult while the price for extra moves remains the same. Why are you doing this playrix , at least keep your game playable.

I don't know what the point of the expeditions are now as you simply can no longer complete them. Game updates just exist to try and slow down your progress. You no longer get 50 coins for completing an easy level, now it's just 10. The challenge rounds, which are almost impossible to complete, only exist to make sure you lose your power up bonuses. There haven't been any improvements to this game with updates, just backwards steps.

Yeah it's good. But aren't I suppose to create my own garden? Why am I stuck in a side quest, like an adventure? I can still play the levels but it's saying the game is loading or updating, but it isn't really. After a while, it'd go back to 10% or so. How am I supposed to solve this problem?

The Golden Ticket should be for coins, not bought with money. After the level is over, 900 coins are too many to get another turn, it should be 100 coins. And only five turns are available, hich is also very few, or at least there should be some rainbows or bombs with five turns. Also, 4 stars have to be used for a small task, which is very wrong.

Addicted. But imma be honest... it's really too difficult. And the one-hit levels got me grabbing my head and screaming because the move is so less and my hard earn boosters... all gone. The sacrifice is not worth only 3 stars and some money. Also the puzzle level... it's kinda misleading from the game. i know it's not really the theme of the game but if it could be a mini game that can be played full-time while waiting for lives as shown in the ads... that would be even better

Bad experience. My game updated to the latest version and my game reset to level 1. I had a good 3 years of progress and was around level 1000 or more & all because I was forced to update my game I lost everything. Customer service is an AI and doesnt help at all. Thanks a lot.

I love this game, but most recently they've included changes that make the game less exciting. I'm not sure why some features are being removed that players like. For example, there is no longer an option to pick the move where you get to switch pieces around. Also, the dynamite used to be included with a disk before playing. Its just not good any more. they have restricted the chat to the UK, so if you have actually made friends with people then you can not chat to them any more, its the same on homescapes. You earn stars and then can not actually pick a lot of the parts of the garden. No actual reasons given to restrict the chat either and no warning. This game is fun, but it is not what was advertised. As much as I enjoy not having any adds to deal with, I would have preferred to get the game I thought I downloaded. I found this game in 2017. Have enjoyed playing until about a year ago. Now, sense game play manipulation too often to ignore. If you want to play, go for it, but over time, you may see that purchasing support items is the only way to have steady success. Voiced concerns about breakdowns in the game play used to be answered but now are not responded to. Presume all bot based. I haven’t uninstalled yet as I have small hope that the game developers see frustrations of long time players and backtrack on some of the changes. Fingers crossed.

I have been playing this game consistently for a couple of years and had collected significant amounts of boosters that have been stripped of significant parts of their usefulness. In particular, in a recent update, the dynamite/rainbow blast combo was replaced with just dynamite, and the rainbow blast portion just … disappeared. I had bought the summer pass, and thus had paid for bonuses that were taken away. And that is only the most egregious of the changes. Almost everything that made the game strategic in a way that was unusual for a Match 3 game has been removed or diminished over the last few months, and it just isn’t fun anymore.

i remember when you’d win a round and they’d give you 50 coins as a reward only to downgrade to 10 coins per win (nice one guys). and now i’ve noticed that after winning and collecting my coins at the end of the round, when it goes to add the coins at the home screen they don’t even give you the amount you won that round! i collected 28 coins one round and it only gave me 26. every round you complete they discount 1-2 coins from what you won. you need to look into this

The graphics are fantastic. Themes are interesting and challenging which makes it fun. When you have a problem with a team challenge though that’s where problems begin. Support does not listen. I have been reporting an issue with the team bowling not scoring any wins for the entire team for the last month. Support does not do anything about it but keep pushing it out and no one can receive any winnings. It then turns the game to a frustrations level to quit.

Title says it all. Here is how they try to make this game entertaining. Let’s take a level that you need roughly twenty moves to beat it and reduce the number of moves by 5. Also let’s put things in places where only a certain buff will work or so you have to add lives thereby making you spend money in order to get lives . Really sad there are no ghosts to visit the developers like there were in the Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Ebenezer was visited by 3 ghosts which helped him realized he had turned life into a boring hardship, missing out on fun and enjoyment. Just like Ebenezer didn’t start out missing fun and enjoyment so this game didn’t start out being a hardship with mega super hard levels that you made a career of trying to beat. Like Ebenezer the developers lost sight of what the goal is. O that they could be visited by 3 ghost like Ebenezer then maybe the game would go back to the fun and enjoyment it once offered through levels ranging from super easy to very challenging. Never ever having to spend multiple weeks on one level again.

The developers recently made a bunch of changes recently to the boosters (making them less effective) and taking away the ability to earn boosters by doing daily tasks in the garden. I have played this game for years. It’s a nice stress relieving, end of the day type of game. In the past I have spent a few dollars here and there and never felt bad about that. It brought me joy and it never felt like a requirement to play the game. In the past few months, however, they have changed the game play so much that you have to pay to win. They reduced the booster options you win during events so they are less helpful. To get past any difficult levels now, you have to pay. I have beaten those levels in the past without boosters and had no problem. Haven’t been able to do that in months now. I am highly ranked in the game and part of a very active and helpful clan. We’re all struggling to enjoy the game anymore. I doubt I’ll keep playing for long, but at the very least, I will NEVER spend another dollar on this game unless the Devs revert these most recent changes.

I’ve been playing this game for quite some time as I complete the new levels when they come out weekly. This developer after taking our money for the monthly event, changed the power-ups for the worse. 2 bombs to 1 and removed the rainbow blast from the TNT. If you want to institute changes, it would be nice to get a heads up and make the change occur before someone decides to spend their money or not. I’ll continue to play for free but will never spend another dime until some additional changes are made. Think twice before getting too involved in this game or any game from this developer.

I accepted the change to the garden pass price, even when 1000 coins went up by a $1. But taking away all of our boosters and rewards is outrageous and such a bad move. I’m happy to see other people upset by this change. I hope you actually listen to your users and realized you should switch back. It’s okay to own up that this was a mistake.

Gardenscapes levels have regularly been tough to beat, but with the new update in reduced boosters and higher energy points needed for expeditions, it’s impossible to gain any ground or beat the special challenge (like Fancy Feathers) without spending a fortune on the game. Even easy levels that should be able to be completed in one try aren’t, and it may take a dozen or two tries to beat it. I probably messed up my algorithm by buying 1000 coins here and there when I want to move on or complete a special challenge, but the game shouldn’t be all frustration rather than fun. I used to play this game years ago, when it first came out, and after some changes that cut rewards and bonuses, I left. I came back because Royal Match also initiated similar changes, but I see Gardenscapes has gotten even worse in reducing boosters and play, particularly with this latest update. Yes, you can play without spending a dime, but play is rather limited.

Like most recent reviews, I used to enjoy playing this game but lately it’s turned into a “how much money can we get from our players” type of game. You earn a lot less from completing levels, they’ve separated and changed the power ups, and increased the prices of the packages without adding more to said packages. The levels are so much harder in an effort to coerce you into purchasing power ups and there are so many random events with short expiration dates so you’re never able to complete it for the prizes - like all of this nonsense has taken the fun out of playing. Pleas bring back the old format - like why are there no more mini games? I want to join to all the other users being unsatisfied with the later “upgrades”. I’ve been playing this game since 2017. It’s basically the only game I have been playing for a very long time. But lately with all the changes it becomes less and less fun. The change of “in field” boosters feels unnecessary and stupid. For example, the “glove” used to be very useful, and the “shuffle” or whatever it is is not. Same with reducing the boosters downward. My question is why? So it just makes me not want to play anymore. Also, why can’t I see now what I have earned after finishing the level? And after the last upgrade I can see that some people make like over 20000 points in an electric contest, when I with all my boosters can make 15000 at the most. So it means, there is a way to buy it somehow, which makes the competition unfair… Anyway I hope after so many negative reviews about this new updates, you will return some things to us. Because otherwise it feels like it’s time to move on. After almost 10 years and 13000 levels it’s sad

Have been having a technical issue for months that causes an event to reset and lose all progress. In addition I lose items that i spent money for. Support provides minimal compensation that replaces nothing that was lost in the reset. And compensation remains the same no matter how many times I have had the issue. Like it costs them anything to actually give you what was lost. Support had been replacing the items lost that I had paid for but has gone from answering within hours, to only answering once every 24 hours to not answering at all for over 30+ hours. In the meantime I spent 11.99$ for nothing because they won’t answer and replace it. Thank goodness my next step is a credit card dispute. Run run run away from this game. What a waste of a decade of my time and money

Do not even start playing this game. The engineers have changed the algorithms so that the only way to pass certain levels is to pay two dollars. I’ve been stuck on the same level for over three days now. I’m either 20 moves away from finishing or one move away at which time I’m prompted to pay two dollars to get to the next level. This game did not used to be like this but now that they’ve changed the algorithm, be prepared to pay anywhere from $2 to $10 a day (and also $10 a month if you want extra bonus goodies). It is a total rip off.

I’ve been playing this game for seven or eight years now and the recent updates are terrible. You took away the disc that goes along with the TNT and you reduced the small bombs to only one instead of two when activating a power up. This makes the levels harder to win. I already buy coins and activate the season pass when it comes around, but with the new power of changes, it will make it where you have to spend money more frequently and I was already thinking about deleting the game, but this may be the end of it for me unless you make some changes to how the power ups used to be.

Every single update they progressively make the game worse and impossible on purpose. I have played for over 7,000 levels, and there is absolutely no fun left. They lowered the number of coins per level, then they gutted the power-ups and tools, and this most recent update continues along this awful track. Instead of rewarding good players, they make it to where only those who pay can have fun. I genuinely don’t know how it is possible for them to take one of the best apps and run it into the ground. At this point, I see no reason to continue playing. They need to undo all these changes and return gardenscapes to the original game, which was so much better.

I have 233 stars that I can not use but the game constantly says, “coming soon” … that has been well over a month with no updates. I’ve contacted support. I used to love this game. In fact I’ve finished all of the main levels and play tournaments until they add more. However, the new updates removing the “hand-switch” and reducing the dynamite/rainbow blast to only dynamite are terrible. I still play it, but am looking for a new game to play.

I’ve been playing this game for 8 to 10 years. The most recent updates are doing the game in. Increases in prices but they also remove boosters. You would get two items in a game booster now one. I worked for an online kids game. I get the need to pay salaries but the audacity to charge more AND remove items from what you’re paying for is insanity. If you’re looking for a new game this is not it. Look elsewhere.

I’ve played this game for a while (11,000+ levels). It use to be a lot of fun, but the developers have changed it so much that it just sucks nowadays. Examples: Boosters - They’ve cut the 2 bomb booster down to 1. The dynamite booster no longer has the rainbow blast with it. You use to get (X)mins of a certain booster when completing certain levels as a bonus to keep playing, but that’s dead and gone now. Power ups - they’ve removed the glove (swap 2 pieces), split the rake into 2 separate power ups (one for vertical columns and one for horizontal rows), the kettlebell and dart don’t fit the Garden theme, and they added a fan (shuffles all pieces on the board). Difficulty - regular levels are decent at best. Sometimes I complete them first try, other times it takes me a while. Hard levels seem to only be possible with boosters and/or extra moves, and Super Hard levels are damn near impossible unless you pay to play. The extra mini games are gone, the card packs don’t make sense, the rewards aren’t worth the headache, and my overall enjoyment with the game has plummeted. I’ll be stuck on a single level for weeks before I get a lucky break. This game just isn’t fun anymore. Idk if the developers even read these reviews but games like this are suppose to be fun and satisfying, that’s what keeps players coming back. But corporate greed has turned everything into nothing but micro transactions and the player base is suffering because of it. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Bring back the old features and watch your players become more invested in the game, but I doubt it’ll happen.

I loved this game when I first started playing. Now there are no more mini games, tasks cost wayyyy more stars, and the levels are so consistently impossible to beat that you either spend a week on one level trying over and over or spend actual money. The game is making billions and just another example of how business greed is taking over. There is no reason for the cost to go up for coins, there is no reason the tasks should cost more stars, or more lighting bolts in the adventures you can never finish. Taking away pre-game and in-game power ups was diabolical. Its sad. It’s not fun anymore.

I played this game for years and have completely stopped because I got so angry at the totally false and misleading ads. This is a match 3 game. Not a pin game, merge game, simulator, or any of the other things the ads show. It’s a GOOD match 3 game, so I don’t understand the completely unnecessary lying.

They also falsely advertise the mini games but after a certain level they take it away AND with the bowling they put you against a team waaaay out of your league so you can’t possibly win! They’ve taken away boosters it’s just not fun anymore and I’ve been playing for 5 years and am uninstalling!!!

I loved this game until recently. I'm at 5k levels now and it feels like every update they are completely changing something. This new event system makes it so you have to play with other people to get the rewards. The gardening duties event never required teamups until now and it's extremely annoying considering how hard it is to find people to actually do the quest with. Sure I get invites but the people end up never helping. I have spent so much money on this game and they are constantly changing it and it's extremely disappointing.

The playrix’s greed has ruined this game. They kept downgrading everything to make players spend more money. They took fair rewards, mini games, events, decorations etc. The final straw for me was downgrading the boosters. This game helped me through grad school but I can’t play anymore without getting angry every second because how horrible the game became. No more spending money on this.

Before this update, hard levels rewarded two stars. Now they reward only one, which makes progression feel slower and less satisfying. In addition, some of the power-up rewards appear to have been reduced. Where players previously received combinations such as two bombs or a screen-clearing power-up paired with dynamite, the rewards now seem more limited, often providing only a single dynamite. These changes make it feel as though the overall sense of reward has diminished. There have also been pricing changes that are difficult to ignore. A purchase that previously offered 1,000 coins for $0.99 now costs $1.99. When reduced rewards are combined with higher prices, it can create the impression that players are receiving less value for their time and money. My Gardenscapes team and I have been discussing these changes over the past week, and many players have expressed disappointment and concern. A number of long-term players who have invested years into the game are questioning whether they want to continue playing under the current system. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration and review these recent changes. Gardenscapes has built a loyal community over many years, and many of us would like to see the game continue to be enjoyable and rewarding for both new and longtime players. Game is all over the place. Some players have TNT and disc while others only have just TNT as their max power up . Game hides very difficult levels as easy ones. Very frustrating and maddening. Developers continue to make the game more difficult and call it “game leveling.” Easily the most aggravating game on iOS.

I have been playing this game for years and it was a lot of fun. I was even willing to pay money for power ups and the adventures. Up until this last update . There is a glitch that won’t let me play levels under the grand trophy . I have contacted customer support for the past 4 days with no reply or help . Will be deleting the game . Very disappointing

Every time there have been recent updates to the game… You make the game worse. Everyone on my team agrees, taking away the hand so you could switch two pieces was a bad call. We liked the old boosters much better. Now there’s been another update and you have removed what to expect in that game which would help me choose which boosters I wanted to use for that game. I really like my team, but these updates are NOT for the better.

I used to really enjoy this game but all of these updates are ruining it. First they took away the bonus powerups while building areas of the garden. Fine, whatever. But now with this new update, it doesn’t show you what to expect going into a level! Knowing that determines whether I decide to use a booster or not. The new sound effects make me feel like I’m a sticky iPad kid. this game is overstimulating and does not relax me anymore. I’m at the point where I’m In the golden league so I’ve completed a lot of levels. Do u have multiple people test out new levels or just one bc most of them are actually impossible to do. There’s like 20 boxes and 20 snails how am I supposed to complete that in 15 moves? Let’s be a little more realistic.
