Love this game initially, beautiful graphics, great story, and fun event ideas—it SHOULD be a 5-star game! But the energy system and resources completely ruin it. ​Energy vanishes in seconds and takes forever to recharge. Coins and rubies are practically very hard to get. the game was good at lower levels but when you get to maybe level 30 it gets SSSSSOOOOO boring. it slows down drastically because you need so many coins to do anything even to talk to other characters which you didn't need in the earlier levels. This game gives you a 5-minute play time every few hours. It takes 2 minutes to refill 1 energy point, which means that for a full 100 bar you need to wait over 2 hours. Plus, every outfit edit or conversation costs coins, but the amounts get ridiculously high as you advance in level. I just had to pay over 200 coins to add eyelashes. This game requires constant purchases if you want to pay for longer. It's not worth it. I will be moving on to better game options.

Good story line. Recent changes made it difficult to progress. Not sure if it’s level based, I’m level 106 . Weekly tasks increased a lot. 700 merges for day 1 and 3000 merges for day 4. Took me 3 days to complete 700 merges. I haven’t earned a star for 3 weeks. Season pass more used to be 40 levels. It increased to 45 levels a few months ago & current season pass has 50 levels. Energy cap too low for my level. IMO the energy cap for level 100 should be 500 energy. Feels very P2W. Used to be fun

I play Gossip Harbor as well and imo it's smoother graphics wise but!!! I like the fashion aspect of this game way more. It's pacing is just kinda annoying for me, using energy to make it through each cut scene... Main reason for giving Hollywood Merge one Star is because of the amount of insane steps I had to take (From Uninstalling to erasing data, cache, storage, etc, etc, etc...)
