Very good. Very annoying. Progression is both interesting, and beyond terrible. You do a local, State, then National tournament every year. I am on year 6. I destroy local and state every year yet no matter what I do even if even rank with the National team, I lose in round 1, bad. I don't know if it's glitched or they roadblock progression super hard for zero fun reason. That said everything else is solid.

no idea why this and the other sport games they make just have bs fake mechanics. it's all rng based and it's proven by just saving before a game and watching it play out 100% different, usually it cheats to allows rivals to win even if you use all cheer boosts. idiots are fake reviewing this because you can have a stacked fully buffed team but rng decides if they play even close to their stats.

Like all good kairosoft games, (especially the sports ones), the real fun begins once you start new game plus. Home Run High got, I believe, 6 playthroughs out of me before I felt like I accomplished enough. And there was still more I could do to optimize further. A whole lot of fun.

Game has promise. However, like all Kairosoft games it insists too much that the player looses. Example, I had a team with 3 lvl. 7 batters, One an 8th lvl., my star created char. I created as a pitcher since the game starts out with pitchers with higher numbers but dislike the position. He was 8th lvl. with pitching skills 120+ and trained in some students well in infield/ outfield skills. 2 yrs. into the game and lost 0-2 3 hits to 7 VS. Sunnyvale?! To tough to be thought an enjoyable game.

Ah, the tap detection is weird on modern phones, like it’s stretched over the current taller phone’s aspect ratio than when the game came out originally. So the farther away from center a button is, the more inaccurate the touch detection is for interface elements in the left/right axis.

I love this game but would like to see it in a professional format where your players don’t leave after they graduate. However, spoiler alert, they have a chance of coming back as a freshman. However it is random when they will come back so it’s hard to have your best 9 players all back at once. Besides that this game is great!

It is very similar to other Kairosoft games, of which I’m a big fan. There are enough differences to keep it interesting and fun. It was improved somewhat with the basketball game but this is still well worth playing. Just wish there were more updates.

It’s fun what I like to see from kirosoft but would love to see them branch out to other fields for their sports other than tennis, football(soccer), and baseball, I know it’s more American to want but basketball and American football is a sport they shouldn’t over look would make some great games and with the things I’ve seen from this company I know it’s a possibility given the right mix of genres ie school and basketball or football 🏈

Really Good!!!!!

This is really fun, just like every other Kairosoft game, which I have downloaded. If I could change one thing, I would update it so you could change names, just like in Dream House Days and High Sea Sega. It would also be amazing if you could change names and outfits in Pocket Academy, but since I downloaded it through ICloud since I originally got it on my IPod for some reason I cannot leave a review. Definitely worth every cent.

Disappointed

The game is interesting but the mechanics behind it really slow the gameplay to a crawl. Training each individual player in this is more a chore than actual fun. Watching your team lose almost each starter game because they have the worst stats is not fun and even when they level up, the improvement to players is very small. I'm glad this doesn't have a free to play model like other Kairosoft titles but it makes you feel as if your in for the slow grind of F2P.

Personally, I feel like this Kariosoft game has more depth than others. It feels like Pocket League but with a lot of new features added in(good ones).This game also allows a choice of difficulty, which is really new to the Kariosoft games and I personally like that option.

Fun and engrossing

Solid game, I would prefer it be a prostyle MLB model, myself. That way you have more than four years to develop good players, especially your avatar. With the pro league you could have added trading, farm teams, even Injuries and the like. Still, had a good time with it.

Bug that cost me the game

Before I start off this negative review, I have to say even though this bug ruined this game, this game is super addictive, which is not surprising for any Kairosoft game. I’m also gonna day I been a Kairosoft fan since maybe 2014-ish, so don’t think that I’m just a hater. Anyway, on to the topic. This bug ruined a 5 dollar game and about 100000 dollars of in-game money (No real money spent on the 100000 dollars). It was the third year of the game. I needed to re-arrange some stuff, so that is what I was doing until this bug which said some places had no roads, yet I had about.. three of these facilities in the open area, so it would be impossible to have that. I had that path you needed as a road around the facilities, so I can be sure it just was not my fault. Please fix this bug, this a 10 star game, but this bug ruined it for me!

Great as always

Kairosoft is hands down my favorite game company. And their sports games are also my favorite. I loved Pocket League Story and HRH is in my opinion even better. It is very immersive and the gameplay is splendid. I'm writing this review because I just won the summer series and it really feels like a big accomplishment in this game. I hope Kairosoft will release a basketball sim game - I can already tell it would be my favorite game of all time!

I have been a longstanding fan of Kairosoft. I've played everything since dungeon village. I have been saying forever that if Kairo put out a baseball game my loved ones would never see me again. HRH has all the trappings of previous games easy to pick up hard to master for the high score. There are new tweaks on the formula to keep things fresh. 3 year players, use of cheer points, mixing sport and education, scaling difficulty is newer for a Kairosoft game which keeps it very exciting. It is a more intense resource management game, knowledge, barbells, fun, and cheer. There's a lot going on. I love management games so this is right up my ally. But, they have kept the same dense and non sensical menus, it's a tap fest, with no real way to easily compare players so I was forced to remember various numbers from batting to pitch speed to fielding strength all in different sub menus. Energy, year, name, all work off a toggle and seem to matter the least, but are the easiest to go through. It definitely slows the game down but the depth, competition and strategy make this one of my favorite games from Kairo. Maybe not a jumping off point but a buy for experienced Kairo players.
