An amazing Riichi Mahjong played as an anthromorphic cast.
- Jayvees (Jayvees)
Was fun but recently started displaying the tiles as solid black place holders for the tiles so completely unplayable. Really disappointing. I will say, before this error I would have rated the game much higher.
- Kel Drake-Sargent
pretty decent for learning mahjong, I just wished it used the Japanese terminology for calls instead of the Chinese becuase it makes it very confusing to cross reference with other guides. There should be an option to change the calls to chii, pon, and kan.

this is a wonderful mahjong app! it's not online-only, so i can put it down whenever i need. the horizontal display is different, but by now i completely prefer it to landscape! the list of yakus is super helpful, and the tutorial is good as well. though i don't particularly care for the furry element, it's tasteful and not in your face like other mahjong clients are, which means i can play it without feeling too weird lol. some say the AI players know too much, so if the dev fixed that…!
- lisiyaki · v1.51.00
I have been looking for a real mahjong game to teach me the basics. This is the best.
- Calvin DWS · v1.49.00
This indie app is a gem: one time payment (with voluntary contributions to help with server costs), zero ads, no dubious permission or account requirements, low battery usage, an intuitive interface and plenty of options. While I can't speak of the online experience, I have been using it for a year and played 70 matches against the CPU in that time, encountering zero issues. The app also includes accessible lessons on how to play, a helpful reference sheet and the ability to save replays.
- Domino · v1.45.01
Great app to learn the game on. Has CPU of varying difficulty and a cute aesthetic. Can play private matches with friends.
- Mason Justice · v1.45.01
Great riichi mahjong app! This app has good gameplay, fun characters, and a lot of info on all aspects of the game. I like the animal characters-each has its own personality, and you can mix & match players levels. It's been really helpful in my learning the game since I can replay matches and explore different types of hands. I highly recommend it.
- Alex F · v1.40.60
as eyes get older bigger pieces would be a nice option. other than that it's my go to riichi mahjong game
- Tiago Fortuna · v1.40.60
enjoyable single player riichi rules mahjong. you pay. you play. and no logins or accounts or privacy issues.
- Je. Brodovsky · v1.40.52
Edits towards the bottom of review! I really like the vibe this game gives off and I also like how I can play vertically, but it keeps crashing on my phone after a couple draws. EDIT-I updated my phone to the latest version and also uninstalled the updates to system webview and the same issue is still occurring. EDIT-2 I wanted to give the game another go and I haven't encountered any issues, it's running perfectly now! 5 stars.

cute male fur characters uwu
- Rioos · v1.40.52
I love playing mahjong with this game 🦊🦁🐲🐻
- Daniel Sweeney · v1.40.10
I regret buying this game without landscape mode. this game is a SCAM dont try to buy it or you will also regret😭😭😭
- ピート・ピーター · v1.40.10
This helped me understand/pickup the game within like 30 minutes after going through the tutorials!
- Paul T · v1.40.10
just great.
- Kenneth R. · v1.40.10
One of the best and most challenging single player mahjong games I've played.
- Curly Brace · v1.40.10
Best Mahjong Client thus far. I've been trying out a few, and the two main ones are... okay? If you just want mahjong, any one will do, but if you want to play mahjong in public, you might want the one without risque anime waifus. By which I mean this one. This one does not have the aforementioned anime waifus.
- Zachary Kirchhoffer · v1.40.00
This game is how I learned mahjong and I love it. Very well done and the developer is a great guy. My only issue with it EVER was an issue causing it to black screen on my specific phone. The issue is gone now and I'm glad to have this back on my phone.
- Montana Zent · v1.40.00
I love the design and the tutor, though the game constantly crashes on my device and is unplayable
- Jacob French · v1.38.52
Literally crashing all the time, cant make 2 discards back to back without it freezing up.
- Killbotter · v1.38.52
Would've gave a 5 stars but the game constantly crashes on my new pixel 8 pro and I can't play the game.
- Elias B · v1.38.00
Early game is pretty good, maybe I'm just bad but the AI gets real rough after Haruto. Almost refusing to drop your wind tiles at all unless you discarded once. Then again, I'm super new but it does gets frustrating for a casual game.
- Zieg · v1.38.00
On Pixel 8 Pro the game is unplayable until hardware acceleration is disabled in the settings. The game animations are rather choppy without acceleration but it avoids constant crashes. I like the score breakdowns at the end of each round. And it is nice to know when players discard the tile they drew. The app seems helpful for people who want to learn to play with real tiles. I would like to be able to mute all sounds without adjusting sliders so I can toggle sound off temporarily.
- Bryan Matsuo · v1.36.00
AI is too hard. You just gonna make newbie and casual hate mahjong.
- Marchent Surya Jatma · v1.28.60
Had a great time with the app previously but since upgrading to a Pixel 8 Pro I am no longer able to play more than one hand without the game freezing. Hoping this is something that is able to be patched out because I had spent a lot of time with this app before.
- Ron Burkhart · v1.28.50
I believe in giving credit where it is due. I still don't like anthropomorphized animals. It is well drawn though. However, the developer did implement wait previews so you can see options for your final hand. This is a big improvement! Because of this I went from never playing this game to playing it every time I want some practice without time pressure. I can just play long friendly matches in mahjong soul, but I can't exit the app and come back to them there so now this is a bit better.
- Astry · v1.28.50
A nice game, is not a very easy to understand if you are new playing this, but it has a good manual to learn it. Is fun, relaxing, and looks nice. I like the characters, and background changes during the game. The music is appropriate. Very satisfied with this unique game, this is not a clone/copy of hundred of versions... like those march 3 that you can find easily.
- BebéTechManiac · v1.28.50
Comparing it to Mahjong Soul, I like that there's a variety to the algorithms I'm playing against when I dont have wifi & character designs are more SFW. However, the board layout is unusual/hard to understand, and the game pauses any music or podcast I'm listening to -- no way to silence game BGM & have quiet SFX play over my own audiobook, for example. If I mute all game sound I can listen to my music, but the SFX would be a helpful cue for understanding the odd layout of the board.

10/10 pls nerf Sofia
- hi · v1.27.03
Game scratched the right itch for Japanese style Mahjong but the bug reported by others which crashes after a short period of playing and forces a restart is killing the ability to enjoy the game. In its current state I can not recommend this to anyone until they see an update from the developer on the status of the bug fix.
- Xiao Jiang · v1.27.03
I really, really want to keep playing but I just can't get past the feeling that the AI players have been programmed to know what's in your hand. I'm a seasoned player and know what I'm doing and when I first played this game years ago it was good but the latest updates seemed to have modified the AI and they play like they know what tiles are where and I now find it very difficult to win against them compared to when this game first came out. I'm sorry but I want to play a fair game.
- Winter McCaibe · v1.6.22
Great game, nice offline Training.
- RobotFK · v1.26.50
As someone recently introduced to Richi Mahjong, this was almost exactly what I wanted to practice on the go. Unfortunately, the current build seems to have a game crashing/save breaking bug that happens during the second half of each match. Really hope it gets fixed soon.
- Fergus Halliday · v1.27.03
Amazing! Only gripe I have is I wish there was a landscape mode on this version.
- Dakota Johnson · v1.27.03
Really enjoyable, but desperatly needs optimization. My phone and tablet can run it just fine, but it drains the battery and runs hotter than a mahjong game should.
- Tove Jansson · v1.27.03
Love this game I'm new to mahjong, I've seen others out there but this one caught my attention especially with the furry characters just had to get it, it may take a little time to figure out, but that's what makes it fun.
- Nolan Pillans · v1.26.50
Great for learning mahjong
- Mason Aye · v1.26.50
Really good for a (dyscalculic) learner. Just as much fun yet somehow less frustrating than poker. Was tempted to give 4* at first, because the stacked "table" for E/S/W/N is a bit hard to get one's head around, but after playing some other Riishi Mahjong phone apps, I've realised it's probably the best format for small phone screens. I still can't memorise any of the yakus, but I doubt I ever will...
- James Anthony · v1.26.50
This is the best mahjong android app I could find. Mahjong Soul is good for PC but this one has a good UI for mobile. The tutorial is also helpful.
- Nicolas Soria · v1.26.50
Still awaiting a fix for Samsung after multiple error reports. It's been a couple of years since this game last worked. I've tried reinstalling android webview and every different combination of disabling and enabling plugins such as game booster but nothing works.
- Will Pulman · v1.26.50
This is an outstanding mahjong app, and easily the best on the market. I have only two nitpicks. First, the game alerts you when a winnable hand is possible by putting a star over the tile(s) you should discard, but it doesn't tell you whether you have the minimum fan to declare ron. Some kind of note to indicate sufficient fan would prevent that star from baiting players into bad moves. Second, this app eats battery like crazy, and could afford some optimization. Otherwise, it's a great app.
- Lex Joy · v1.26.50
Simple for beginners to pick up and explore your new interest.
- Johnny Escobedo · v1.14.11
Great rishi mahjong app!
- Bounce Shelly
Easy the best and most straightforward richi mahjong app out there
- Wren O'Kelley · v1.26.00
Best Mahjong app!
- Jesse Weickum · v1.26.00
A simple but very well put together game. You can also play this on Steam which is nice, has a much bigger table UI there, but the simplified handheld UI works perfectly. Very easy to open and get some practice in for real games. (Khan is a devil though. Never deal into his hand. You will perish.) Cute furry boys, good tutorial, plays well (offline with no ads, might I add. a rarity on phone nowadays), Totally worth the few bucks.
- Tia Schwartz · v1.25.02
Great game, good UI, no weird fancy bells and whistles. Just a good rendition of Japanese riitchi mahjong. Particularly good and interesting for single player, with a variety of AI opponents. Good tutorial too!
- Emi Enache · v1.25.02
Its unfortunate, but this app has stopped working on my device despite being listed as suppoted within the playstore (Samsung Galaxy S10) When it was working, this was a very fun and solid way to learn Riichi Mahjong, and the preferred offline game I used to play regularly. As of late 2021, I can get up to playing 2 tiles before the game locks up and freezes, music still playing in the background but unresponsive to inputs. I would love to pick this game back up again, should it get fixed 😢
- Isaac Davies · v1.24.01
Very lightweight and easy to use mobile app for on the go mahjong.
- Jon Sloan · v1.24.01
The best offline mahjong experience. All the characters have little voice lines, which is a nice touch. I haven't found any bugs. Game runs great.
