Like Majesty series? Check out Majesty: The Northern Expansion as well! "It’s a great strategy game. I’d recommend this to RTS and RPG lovers alike." - AppAdvice "One of the "5 winning games for tablets" - New York Times, July 2011 "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" is a vast magical world where you are honored with the crown of a tiny fairytale kingdom. When you become the head of the country all the responsibility for the land's prosperity rests on your royal shoulders. You will have to fight various enemies and monsters, explore new territories, manage economic and scientific developments and solve a heap of unusual and unexpected tasks. For example, what will you do when all the gold in the kingdom transforms into cookies? Or how will you bring back the trolls who robbed caravans and whose disappearance ruins the economy of the country? The core feature of "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" is that you cannot control your citizens directly. There are a lot of heroes in your lands: valiant warriors and warlike barbarians, powerful wizards and grim necromancers, industrious dwarves and skilful elves plus many more. But all of them live their own lives and decide for themselves what to do at any moment. You are able to issue orders but heroes will follow your commands only for a sizeable reward. "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" contains elements of role play: while fulfilling your orders, the heroes improve their skills and talents, as well as earn cash to be spent on new equipment, weapons, and magical elixirs. "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" – the throne is waiting for its hero! Game Features: - Legendary indirect control strategy totally adapted for iOS. - 10 types of heroes with dozens of statistics, weapons and armour. - A dozen types of monsters. - Several dozen spells. - 30 upgradeable building types. - 15 scenario missions+ a bonus one. - 3 difficulty levels. - About 100 game achievements. ______________________________________ ***** "...Richest real-time strategy game I’ve yet played on a phone or tablet, and also one of the more interesting games of this sort I have played on any system recently." – The New York Times ***** "It’s a great strategy game. Some of the worst and most frustrating AI you’ll ever play with and in a game where indirect control is the main mechanic I can’t tell you how dumb it is to have AI this abysmal
- Fxckappleandnicknames · v1.4.13
KROLM! Also where’s the old voice actors? And the brogues?
- Andrewdin123 · v1.4.13
I loved Majesty as a kid and while this isn’t an exact replica, it does the job for me. I like the smart handling of situations where you click in a space occupied by two entities. I would give this 4 or 5 stars but the blatant sexism makes you wish you hadn’t given whoever made this your money lol. A simple but cogent example is the set of names autogenerated for Paladins (the only female hero’s): - Stubborn - Blonde - Manhater - Chasteneress Yikes.
- Pburns! · v1.4.13
Limiting to 20 warriors is kinda messed up. Lost a star for that.
- Hsrthythyjate N · v1.4.13
It has some of the main features, but it’s missing a lot of the immersion the original comes with. I still enjoy it, but it feels like I’m playing a cheap knock-off.
- Sijic · v1.4.13
I love this game, however some of the levels are just unfair on bloodthirsty. I have a screen shot of day 8 of the eloped wife mission (on blood thirsty difficulty) where there are 37 elves attacking, on day 8!

feminist harpies? 🙄

The original PC game was great, but I enjoyed playing this even more on the iPad. It’s a great match for a touch interface. I would love to play Majesty 2 on the iPad even more!
- Dust Bowl Refugee · v1.4.13
I had a full set of hero’s maxed out buildings and 5k gold to spam spells on but when I got invaded by 6 DRAGONS I got wiped easily couldn’t kill more than one and most of my heroes were lvl 6 or higher so yeah no and everything up to that point had been an easy snore fest on pacifist idk how you could EVER survive an invasion of that many dragons on the highest difficulty I doubt anyone has beaten it on that difficulty honestly seriously balance your game other than that a fantastic game just balance it
- boopbeepyada · v1.4.13
Feels nothing like the original. I’m disappointed with the reviews that claimed it had the same feel. It doesn’t. Waste of $2
- Dgd42136 · v1.4.13
While some changes were made in porting to iOS, the cultural changes took a step backwards. One of the early levels is about feminist harpys that want to abolish polygamy — they are branded terrorists with which the kingdom will not negotiate therefore you must kill them all. This is an easily changed paragraph or two of text, but a storyline the developer chooses to keep nonetheless. In addition, others have mentioned the heros from the Temple of Krypta used to be priestesses and this has inexplicably changed to male necromancers. Of many hero classes, the only female hero class is now the Paladins with names like “pretty,” “stubborn,” or even “manhater.”

I played this game religiously as a kid so there are a lot of little details about it that I miss. I’m loving hearing the original music but I miss the intricate graphics and some of the minor characters like the gnomes. It’s also missing the beautiful intricate graphics of the first but perhaps that is something that will change in time. All in all, it is bringing back great memories. Thanks to the creators of this app.
- Bloop de doop 88 · v1.4.13
I loved the original Majesty growing up, so the moment I started this, the music hit me right in the nostalgia. The buildings, the mechanics, it was all the same, with a few obviously necessary tweaks and some paywalls. Then, I noticed it. When I was a little girl, I loved that so many of the units were female. The Healers of Agrella, Priestesses of Crypta, the Paladins, the Solari... in this version? Healers and Priestesses (now Necromancers) are old men with white beards. Note that the game already has wizards that look like this. The Solari are gone (game reasons, I get it), and only the Paladins remain. And the campaign takes every possible opportunity to mock women. It starts with harpies and moves on to PMSing Paladins and runaway brides... about a quarter of the levels I played were about how awful women are... in a kingdom builder RTS! Who thought this would be a good idea? I put the game down in disgust. TL;DR- Sexist mess, Skip it.

Just like the one we used to play as kids! Great.
- mattsteltzer · v1.4.13
I was so excited to find out Majesty was available to play, after looking for some of my favorites from childhood. I was addicted to playing the campaigns, and completed several within one sitting. However, I was playing yesterday and realized one of the campaigns is likely rigged (unless $$ is spent). I’ve restarted this campaign over 20 times, changing up variables to overcome all of the obstacles (on the easiest setting). The bad guys come out with a vengeance around a certain point, so I’ve learned to work quickly and use the tools given. But even when I have everything possible in place to beat the mission, the game seems to cease all normal functions (e.g. none of my 20 heroes can be found on the screen, some of them disappearing for over 20 min...until the game is lost). Without heroes to protect the buildings and complete the mission, it is impossible to win the campaign. Something is amiss here. I’m highly disappointed that any money was spent on this game, considering I will never be able to complete the entirety of it.
- PresleyProud · v1.4.13
I paid for this game because one of the reviews said there were no micro transactions. How far did I get before getting asked for more money? Not one step.
- bragova · v1.4.13
Been playing this game since it first came out on Pc. Still so much and replay value
- dunkinsupreme · v1.4.13
New player. Did the tutorial. Started campaign. Finished first stage. During stage 1 I bought 50000 more coins for $.99. Then to my surprise when I went to stage 2 all my coins were gone. Started me with a new lower amount. There was no warning of this when they took my real life money. You almost had a new and happy grateful player, then you went and had to be bleep bleep bleeps like all the other game makers on ios. Goodbye bleepers.
- robwetvbhj · v1.4.13
An awesome game that has been responsibly maintained by the developer on iOS since it launched. Free of microtransactions, timers, and in-game currencies that plague almost every game of this type. The only thing I wish I could spend money on is the ability to buy this game twice. Yes, you have to actually buy it (it’s not “free”). Spend a few bucks up front and see what it’s like to play a game and not be hounded to keep throwing money at it.
- Ubisububi · v1.4.13
I’ve had this app many times over many years. It’s one of my all time favorite games that I can play over and over again. However, this company has been shady with it. They will dump the old one and make a “new” one for purchase, stopping support on the old copy. They added micro transactions for gold on a level that, if you fail, you need to purchase on a retry. Further, they have absolutely raised the difficulty of these levels to nearly impossible on the lowest setting (pacifist) on a few levels. It’s unbalanced to encourage you to spend more money. Again, a long time favorite game. But it’s gone downhill due to greed.
- Chickibidi · v1.4.12
The mobile app is still loads of fun.
- forsakenscribe · v1.4.11
I was a huge fan of this game, and i enjoy the app but like many i am upset that many of the characters are the same...magic base hero’s almost all are the same character with different colors. And the names we can only have so many characters out at a time, i don't think it would be to hard to make 40 different names for each class and have them randomized so that we dont have these ridiculous names and used multiple times within the same game. Paladins are also the only females found in the game, when the pc used to have more Krypta priestess’s were my favorite imagine my face when i saw them being just a color altered version of the wizard :/ I love the game, but it feels like a hollow shell of its former self.
- TanaTorment · v1.4.11
I loved the original , got this just to be nostalgic , although not a bad game but it seems like a half baked indie game . It tries to save a lot of the original majesty vibe which I loved. The game play is a little rough and clunky as I found it difficult to scroll around the map and have general feel of what is happening in my kingdom . Also the game seem to lack the details for example level 3 bow is a level 3 weapon as oppose to enchanted yew longbow . Also the sound is frustrating absent none of the character seem to say anything , no “ where’s the gold “ , “ I am melting !”, “ agrela smiles upon you “ small things like these add a lot to the character of the heroes which was sadly missing in the game. And it seems like they wanted to port the original majesty but didn’t have the resources to port it completely , for instance you don’t see peasant, the buildings autobuild same for gnomes , buildings auto repair . I wished they didn’t cut crucial aspect of the game play like that
- Snedddn · v1.4.11
When I was younger, I played Majesty on computer obsessively. I saw that this game had been ported to the iOS I had to give it a shot. After beating the entire game on brutal, without spending a dime, here is my review. The Good: Majesty plays very similarly to the original version. The levels are fairly unique, and you do not need money to beat the game even on the hardest difficulties. After spending close to 30 hours beating the campaign, there is lots of replay-ability in skirmish mode. The Bad: I couldnt really think of anything except one issue I encountered with balance. While not game-breaking, there are some issues, especially with ranged units. Elves and Rangers are almost completely useless, especially on the brutal difficulty. Monster’s dodge should be nerfed and ranger/elf damage should be increases. Other thoughts: It should also be mentioned that when you construct multiple buildings, it slows down the build time of all structures. Not a problem, but new players may not know this. Overall: I absolutely loved playing through the campaign. It was very challenging, but fair. I look forward to many more hours spent replaying the campaign and messing around in skirmish mode.
- DaBahamaLlama · v1.4.11
This was an awesome game on PC and I was really excited when I saw a mobile app for it. It is enjoyable and interesting. But it isn’t a shade on the original game. In fairness it needs to be adapted for mobile apps as stated and is done reasonably we’ll however if you are familiar with the original game many of the different temples have been eliminated and options removed. Again though if you knew or enjoyed the original I think you’ll be underwhelmed. Also there is not a single female hero anymore. Especially not the Krypta’s which was a total jerk move. It is however a very solid way to spend half an hour or so at a time on a game.
- Dorothy Demar · v1.4.11
I love this game. It's classic. It requires strategy to win each level. And it's so much fun to play. It never gets old. It doesn't lag, it doesn't crash, it doesn't have any glitches (I should know because I have been playing it for almost a year and have never found a single glitch, crash or lag) and the in app purchases are not required to move on in the game. You can move on without them. And there are no ads. This game is the BEST. I mean the BEST. Oh and seeing all the hate reviews is really sad. This is a good game. People just don't know how to appreciate little blessings like this awesome game. It really is the ultimate fantasy battle experience, and the fact that the game is pixelated is pretty cool. We don't see a lot of pixelated games out there besides Pac Man. I'm planning on getting the North Expansion game as soon as I complete this one. I promise you won't regret getting this game. I highly recommend it. Why isn't it featured on the home page of the App Store yet??? It totally deserves to be featured! -WildDragonGirl1

- Oleoay · v1.4.11
This is one of the best games I’ve ever played. Unfortunately they tried to move to an IAP model. I have no problem with IAPs. But these guys are too lazy to even do it correctly. I played this game many many many times before the update, and I’m very familiar with all the difficulties. What they’ve decided to do raise the difficulty, and then allow you to spend 99 cents to gain a lot of gold for that level. Here’s the problem. Newer people will see that they’re losing so they will spend the 99 cents to get 50k gold. But if your barely too far gone, no amount of gold is going to help you. So then you lose quickly anyway, and there goes your 99 cents, it does not carry over to the next level. IAPs for this type of game should give permanent boosts to help someone along in the game. Shame on you for taking the lazy way out.
- 96!! · v1.4.11
Core game play is the same as the original. Almost all hero’s except the paladins are male. Misses the hero dialogue, temple to fervus, poison and healing potions, and the days where games were designed to be fun and not clash farms.
- Pann13 · v1.4.8
Great game not as good as the classic on the pc but good adaptation.
- Spartythecuss · v1.4.8
Majesty is a series that holds a lot of nostalgia for me and many others. That said, if you've never played this series before, I highly recommend it. The indirect kingdom simulator is a very interesting style of game as it takes a lot of the usual control you have in a game and forces you to think more strategically. Great if you're a fan of Real Time Strategy Games (RTS), indirect control life simulators (like The Sims), or fantasy gamers in-general. There's a little something for everyone! Offers a very distinct challenge with a colorful cast of units, enemies, and quests to make every level fun. All that said, as a veteran of both Majesty 1 & 2, I can't help but feel this is an oversimplified version of its predecessors. I haven't made it all the way through yet, but I am assuming a lot of monsters got cut from the game, though not a terribly big deal. The real shame comes from the amount of units and buildings that were dropped from Majesty 1 in the transition to mobile. Upwards of 6 units got cut: Cultists, Monks, Rogues, Solarii, Adepts, and Gnomes (gnome hovels are still present, but the unit was dropped.) Two others that got dropped are peasants and guard captains, and though they aren't a major loss, they are still notably missing. Along with this comes a LOT of missing spells! Obviously all the Cultist, Solarii, Adept, and Monk spells are gone, but the BIGGEST spell that got dropped was Rage of Krolm, pretty much making Barbarians useless. Other notable buildings that were dropped are the Magic Bazaar, Fairgrounds, and Gambling Hall. I assume the reason for this is to prevent the game from bogging down due to too many active units (there is a cap of only 20 recruited heroes at a time and 30 buildings.) That said, it is still a disappointment for anyone considering this game for nostalgic purposes. Also, they nerfed the healer so that it no longer can attack (the only reason to make a healer temple, since there is no monk counterpart, is for the paladin.) A tiny issue, but still worth mentioning. Everything considered, I still give this reincarnation of a very nostalgic game a 5/5. It is worth playing for newcomers to the series and old players looking for a portable version of an equally nostalgic and amazing game. I probably won't get the expansion, since it doesn't add any new units yet is $1 more than the standard game, but I definitely recommend this base game!

I absolutely loved this game! So much that I bought the pc version but I'd didn't quite live up to my love for the phone version. I still play it over and over, from new phone to new phone. But it hasn't been updated for so long that it's hard to play on the iPhone 6. I'd love for a new game but I could settle for just a new update!

- Acousticpaul · v1.4.3
My favorite computer game besides the sims, from back in the day. A couple of the things you could do on the pc are missing, which I find a little funny cause my phone is probably stronger than the PC I had back in the day. But, it's almost exactly like I remembered it. I wish you could zoom and ...ugh... Unzoom. But the view they give is ok.
- KitsuneRose · v1.4.3
Doesn't hold a candle to the original, but it kept me sane through a lot of power outages in the past year. It would be so much better with more of the units and structures from the PC version, not to mention the voice acting. The art is nice. Needs more zoom, and larger buttons.
- Ggrhkkhkgm · v1.4.3
Yes, I am one of the old school players that loved this on my old blueberry ibook. There a few things that would have to be improved to earn that perfect score. One visibility, you can't pinch and zoom the field. As the graphics have greatly downsized, you still need to see what is going on. Flipping between the field and one of the houses is too cumbersome. Save or we start you over? Autosave from the point of play each time, please? I do miss the voice of the old game as well. As this is a paid bundle with in app purchase as well, a few improvements need to be made.

I was a huge fan of the old Majesty fantasy kingdom sim games on the PC. The mobile version, while somewhat simplified, remains true to the source material and what made the original fantasy so fun and unique. This isn't a game with Majesty slapped on - it is a faithful interpretation on a mobile platform. It's a blast, addicting and fans will not be disappointed.
