I love geometry puzzle games but this one really preceded my expectations. The music was nice and the overall aesthetic is adorable. The way it makes use of perspective is clever and i love it not to mention, i never felt frustrated and it actually soothed my mind throughout the entire game. Funny thing is, i played the extension 3 times but the secret achievement turned out to be the lizard LOL this was super fun thx, i played the first one and i will definitely play the third one as well.

Everything is just too slow and there's a lot of "loading". The beginning menu has no instructions or visual indicators on what to click to start. I ended up playing the same thing over and over and wasting time waiting for the animation sequences to complete with the blaring background music. That's another problem, no fine audio control, just on/off - no ability to turn off or adjust the volume of the sounds or music. I get minimal UI, but there's a limit to where things just get frustrating.

I thoroughly enjoyed Monument Valley 2. The artwork and animation were even more beautiful than the first game, and the music was just as relaxing. I loved the new tree mechanics. It felt shorter and easier than the first game, but the puzzles were still fun. I loved the Playing for the Planet level, though I was slightly disappointed there weren't as many bonus levels as the first game. I use a mouthstick stylus (I'm quadriplegic) and found the controls very accessible. Highly recommended!

4$ for my 8yo to finish it in one day

We had this game years ago and it lasted months - we never made it to the end I don’t think. They’ve made it 4$ and taken away a ton of levels. I paid for two app (the OG and the 2nd monument valley) bc we love the game but both were completed in one day. Total rip-off and a huge shame to create something so cool and then make it so disappointingly short lived when years ago, it was free and we got to play it for a very long time.

This is to me one of the best games there is. Its a trippy puzzle and I always liked that old picture with the staircases and doors that went every direction and this is what it reminds me of. Looks good, not much to play

The game is well made. It’s smooth, visuals look good, and the controls are decent, but it’s not much of a puzzle at all. It never gets more challenging than it is on the first level. Each new level introduces a slightly different mechanic, however it’s all pretty much just the same basic puzzle over and over. There are no levels that combine multiple mechanics, so every time you beat one section, you never see that mechanic again. It does not build upon itself. I beat the whole thing very casually relatively quickly so it was a pretty big letdown based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I never had to think about to solve the puzzle, you just rotate until it’s correct. Not a good buy for adults who like puzzle games.

Loved the first one and this one absolutely outdid it

For whatever reason I missed that this game had two sequels! I just beat this one in a single evening and man... visually stunning, bits of poetry to ponder, cool set pieces and new mechanics, a gorgeous and genuinely moving soundtrack by Todd Baker (his musical sound design work is amazing, he worked on Tearaway, Dreams and LBP), and the puzzles felt fresh and intuitive with just enough difficulty to give me pause and make me feel smart and satisfied with the solution but not enough to frustrate me to take me out of the game (I'm too stupid for Baba is You lol). Anyway fantastic game I would easily pay $15 just for the experience even though it's a short iOS game. Please use headphones!!!

The beauty of this game

I think it’s nice to have a game like this the first and second are very good even though I haven’t got through a second one. Once you get stuck …

I thoroughly enjoyed MV1 and was enjoying MV2 until I got stuck at a level and could not find a way to move on. It was enough for me to move on to other cognitive games to keep my brain engaged.

I mean, it is good, but…

It is not as calming as the old one. And what is the point of the Apple Arcade one? You still have to pay to play it. Also a pay to “win” for the first one cause you have to pay $2 extra bucks just for 8 if the rest of the levels. I recommend playing the arcade free trial one before buying.
