Waiting for next updates to add them back. edit: After 5 years since my last review I still can't play neojungle or doomsday machine which I bought before. It's a mobile unity game, not a mulitmillion it project. It ain't that hard to add those

Only game I play. It's actually very tactical and the armies are varied enough that every game is a challenge. I do recommend buying DLC armies eventually as they add to the variety. Pass on beasts though. The most frustrating army to play and against.

Previously rated 5 stars. I really loved this game, and the old app. I would have happily continued to pay for additional DLC. It's been years, and still the ORIGINAL DLC that I paid for in the old app has never been added back. Still the app description talks about this. I had to re-buy the armies that actually were added back into this "new" app a second time because I couldn't get my original purchases to restore. Y'all double dipped, and I waited patiently for five years. Shame on you.

The old version of this game was fantastic. They completely fouled up this re-implementation of it. it's limited to two players, they haven't added the expansion armies, and it's not as graphically clear as the previous version.

This game will go back up to 5 stars when they restore 4 player games, but as a 2 player game, it becomes far too predictable. I don't know what happened to the team coding this game, but it feels like something went horribly wrong. I was excited for the new armies, but they don't really make up for loss of 4 player battles. I thought the reason for the reboot was to offer bigger maps... but alas!

5 star board game but 1 star for breaking our collective hearts. I also feel like, at some point, this became false advertising by promising us our armies back. (WE GAVE YOU OUR IRL MONEY FOR, REMEMBER?) Will I get my armies back? Probably not. No "future update" in years. You guys even have it plastered on the home page still. Not like y'all care though... The perfectly working old version was removed with no compensation and replaced with a half baked new version where old armies are missing, 4 player games with AI are missing and etc. this happened a number years ago and developers promise's to bring back all armies are far from finish. Ruining my favorite mobile game for no reason what so ever.

UPDATE: As everyone else has said, I want the armies I purchased back, and access to the older version that looked and ran better. Old 5 star review: Incredibly simple and elegant rules and mechanics, giving way to a surprising depth of tactics. Hundreds of hours of fun! Would be thousands if the AI were more complex and provided more of a challenge! Great game.

The current version, April 2025, is worse in almost every way. I played the HECK out of this game for years. acoming back to it is disappointing —and that ain't the nostalgia speaking. this game doesn't work. I KEEP getting totally frozen during my turns, unable to interact with anything except reading tile descriptions. Also, SOMEHOW, it is slower, like WAY slower. To salt that wound: often, on the AI's turns, the "waiting for AI" loading bar will slowly fill, then SLOWLY FILL AGAIN.

I had this listed as five star forever. I remembered the game and decided to install again. Found out since September 1 player vs 3 AI is broken. Armies are missing. Can't you just replace with the old working version until it's finished. You can't release a broken version to replace a working version then leave it for months. I want the game I purchased and all the armies I purchased. If not, even thought it's 3 years later I want a refund. You can't simply take my working game away from me.

Discount the negative reviews, because the fact is we are all in here having a blast playing perhaps the best turn-based Android game. Playing against humans makes it a real challenge. It can take a long time (even days) for your opponent to complete his turn, but you can play many games at once.

Update : removed all stars. Came back to this game 5 years later and multiplayer is finally here (albeit broken). New graphics, which is cool, and a new army or too, which is great. However all DLC purchases are lost. No restore button. No dev activity in the last year. Unacceptable. I hope the upcoming EU law on abandoning games passes and prevents future games of ending like this, because I feel a bit entitled to the offline, standalone, perfectly working game I had purchased before.

I really like this Game. I played it a lot back in 2013-16. I bought all the dlcs back then. However when remade the app, all dlcs were removed back to the the starting 4 factions and removed 4 player mode. They claim that people like me should get the factions back for free once they are released. This seams to be true, but there are STILL factions that are waiting for release. In addition you still can only play with 2 players. Please add the 4 player chaos from the previous version back.

I played it on ios and can't thank the developers enough for porting it to android. It is an addictive light strategy game that can be played fairly quickly. It works great on my LG OGP. The only thing this game needs is online multiplayer .

Once a piece is placed you can't click on it to see what it does which made it difficult at the start BUT it's very fun and I like how the app works! I imagine it's faster than the physical version because attacks are automated

It's been a long time since the game was sold and redone. I had paid for all of the armies, but they removed them with promise to bring them back - still a few missing. Can't see them being able to implement them as they are more complicated armies. Their simple AI is much more predictable than the original app, so their tech staff must not be well supported. Should give us all new armies for free, since they screwed us.

This game was fantastic. Logged thousands of hours. After takeover, UI not as good, it's buggy. Last "update" has dropped frame rate to probably 5 fps. They introduced 3 new armies when they haven't even restored the previous armies that I paid for and still don't have.
