Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee

Originally bought this for my Veon 55" Android 11 Google TV but it didn't work. Game kept crashing just before loading the title screen. I tried everything to fix it to no avail. Fortunately, I was able to get it working on my phone. I hooked the controller up to me phone and was able to cast the game to the TV. It was a bit of a work around but eventually got the result I wanted.

It's very nice that the backstory of the first game is there, since I haven't watched it yet because the cinematics on the PC version of the Abe's Oddysee is stuttering so bad. About this game, the main menu looks awesome. The sound and music sounds like classic. The 3D models look good, the creatures are funny. And very good performance. I also love the fact that you can change video gamma values to try different colors of atmosphere.

I remember playing this as a kid but can barely remember any of the details. Nonetheless, this plays like a 2000s video game. In depth, no in-app purchases. They didn't skimp on the story, it's immersive and gets you sucked in. Solid game.

So check it, I played and actually beat the first Oddworld (not easily I might add) back in the day. I had no idea there was a mobile version this playable. Excellent game play thus far, smooth controls and the camera angle isn't difficult to maneuver. Keep em coming, I'm an Oddworld-er for life.

I love this game and the series. I hope to see more of the games on mobile. I wouldnt mind seeing mobile exclusive games to expand the story, as long as you can buy them outright, and there are no predatory practices.

Runs well on my Galaxy s21. Great nostalgic fun. The controls are fine and customisable. Never been great with touch screen controls. Not sure if you can use a Bluetooth controller, but I might look into it.

I'm not sure why I've never given this game a rating on here. I've had it downloaded for a long time. I played the game back when it was released on the original Xbox. It was then, and always will be, one of my favorite games of all time. One I played over and over again as a child that I have played many times as an adult as well.

It's not terrible except it doesn't keep my saved games at all I have to keep restarting from the previous chapter. I've been stuck on chapter 2 for ever. I'm about to just delete it and eat the $3

This game is a favourite with me and my older brother. Fantastic to relive the memories of such a classic game.
