Pirates and Traders: Gold!

It's okay. Rather poor hints and info. Port economies don't seem to differ much, despite wealth, other than when rumors hit so I usually go broke by my 7th port trying to find decemt trades. Maybe I need to play more, maybe it's luck, maybe it's just not good.

I played the original, loved it, i played the beta of 2, it needs work and is unfinished but i look forward to playing it when it's finished. BOUGHT AND PAID FOR GOLD, BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE ADS. Only to find that all of the native missions are broken, can't finish any of them.... I could on the free version that has a ton of ads.... I thought i was getting the same exact game minus ads.... Please fix this before I have to go through Google to get my money back

Fun game but some aspects don't make sense. Like attacking Towns....... You can have 300 troops against 100 enemy and after losing 50 men and they only have 30, that's 250 men to 30...... And they retreat every time. 😅 I thought it was a pirate skill issue but I tried leadership points and it did not help. Still very fun, the game mechanics just seem a little off. Could use a Bigger map or a DLC map. I give it a 4/5.

I like this game as it's somewhat close to the Sid Meier's Pirates PC game experience. I still don't understand how to win fights? I wish you could add ships to make a fleet and use cargo space in other ships. I don't know how Portugal is supposed to be a player in the Caribbean since they never had any colonies there? I'm going to try the upgrade of this game with optimism.

This is about as good of a text and turned based phone version of Sid Meier's pirates that you can buy! There are little things that could be better, for sure. More buttons less text, more quests and rumors, more things. But more streamlining.

Love this game but found a bug ... When licensed by Spain (comadore) flying Spanish colors, and never attacked anyone we weren't at war with - three different times I was fired upon by Spanish warships after hailing. In open water searching for a ship.

Flawed but fun and charming game. You can tell so much love has gone into its development, and I've loved it for years. It's just so much fun to pick up and play. It's really addictive. There's so much to this game. The fighting, the trading, all the little storylines. It's not perfect by any means but it's a really fun experience if you're just looking for a cool mobile game. EDIT: Updating this review a few years later to 5 stars. This game is still so much fun!

this specific rating is focused entirely at the lack of support for anything "not mobile device". after many attempts it is concluded this game is unplayable on anything other than a phone... it's so bad it feels like they are intentionally trying to be bad in that space.
