I used to love love love this game!! you have ruined it! Every time I make a purchase, all of a sudden, I can't win without using my 300?!? Never happened before I started making purchases!!! Joke! I'm so so sad that I now have to find a new game because of your obvious hijinks! It was fine for me to make a purchase once in a while, but you made it way too obvious that you are taking advantage and making the game no fun anymore! Sickening! You literally ruined my favorite game. Buh bye!

If you like these kind of games; find another one because I wouldn't recommend this one. And if you do want to play this one: be prepared to try a level 20 times, people taking advantage of you by being in your party and not contributing anything but still getting rewards, developers don't listen to suggestions: like contribute 0 points = 0 rewards, and they are getting greedy. Being stuck on a board for 12 hours or 24 hours isnt fun. This game is a cash grab. As soon as you spend money on pink diamonds to try and help yourself get off these boards then it stops giving you matches or power ups so you have to spend your pink diamonds to get off of them or stay stuck. The side quest makeovers are becoming impossible to complete without spending real money for booster packs. You could win 5 levels but still barely earn enough special tickets to do anything. Other reviewers seem to agree, that it seems to purposefully make passing levels extremely difficult so you're bullied into spending money just to move forward. Even then, you pay 5$ and only get MAYBE 1 of each booster and 1hr unlmtd lives and a few gems.

it's a shame, I really used to enjoy this game and have enjoyed the little mini games and events. Lately however, it's been disappointing pairing up with players that seem like bots or are inactive for mini events and having to get through team exercises alone and facing the prospect of buying gems to get through. When you do try to get through alone the rewards/spins are minimum and so much harder to finish. I will probably back away and just play when I can and not take part in the team stuff.

I'm level 1449, and I'm just done. At this stage, EVERY. SINGLE. LEVEL. takes (no joke) 40+ tries to complete. Every one of them. I can't participate in any events anymore because all of them rely on beating levels fast and consecutively. Early game play allows you to sail through 100 levels no problem. Nowadays it takes me a literal week to get through maybe 10. I've sunk too much money and time into this game and so I've got to quit; it's actually starting to affect my mental health lol

quite fun except for some levels. most of them I was able to save by sheer dumb luck, not to mention trying these levels multiple times before. now 2026: it got worse. more difficult levels, in app buys are a cheat (first you get 500 gems vor 1.99, the next time you would like to buy 400 gems for same value). the changes in the cards collections and everything else is just poor/greedy decision making

it's a cute game, but the difficulty level is increasingly punishing. I enjoy designing the spaces and outfits for the makeovers, and the basic gameplay of the puzzles is easy enough. after a while, however, you can get stuck on levels for DAYS if you don't want to pay for power ups. You can build a win streak for extra bonuses per level, but you lose all of them the second you fail a level. also, it's heavily skewed towards the female avatar. you get 5 or more female upgrades to each male one

They changed the game and now it’s impossible to enjoy. Greed has caught up with the developers. Edited to add: If you enjoy playing games in portrait mode on your phone than this game is not for you. I wish that they would develop the game so that you can play it in both portrait and landscape mode depending upon user preference. some people like myself may have mobility issues and prefer games that allow users to play in portrait mode. I hope that they consider this in future developments. please consider allowing the game to be played in whatever view is most comfortable for the user and gamer.

I truly love this game but I’m noticing a pattern whenever there’s an event and a merge game. I noticed when there’s a timed or themed event going on it’s harder to complete the boards almost like you want to force ppl to use cash that we all don’t have. When there’s timed events are over the boards are completed easily. I really don’t think that’s fair. I will change the 3 stars and review if it’s fixed. It’s already difficult to complete because everything in the timed events cost way more

This game is really fun, it combines all the elements I like in games into one, decor, fashion, and puzzles!!! There's so much to do so I'm always entertained when I open the game, some puzzles can be extremely hard, sometimes the hard puzzles and super hard puzzles are easier than the normal puzzles in my opinion, however I still really like and enjoy playing the game so I would recommend it to everyone!!!

It begins to get impossible to complete levels without draining your bank account or the game deciding you get "lucky", because there's not enough moves and there's unreasonable level requirements which leads to constant frustration. It's a shame because it has a unique concept for a matching game, but it's not fun because of the greedy business model. Also not a huge fan of the childish and outdated views on beauty.

I used to absolutely love Project Makeover and played it every day. It was fun, relaxing, and rewarding. Unfortunately, the game has become more about making money than providing an enjoyable experience. Levels have become unnecessarily difficult unless you spend real money, and many of the best features are locked behind expensive purchases. Not compatible with iPhone17

Cute graphics, easy gameplay so you can get to the makeovers quickly. (Dumb storyline- why do we need a villain?) my problem occurred when I tried to close the game. It would not respond to the up-swipe. (I even tried a sideswipe since the games’s orientation is landscape.) I searched every corner of the screen for a way to close the game in the app. I finally had to shut my phone off and turn it back on. Needless to say the first thing I did at that point was delete the game. 🫤

Updates are ruining the game

The recent changes are ruining what used to be my favorite game! The new season passes, changes to the length of card collections, and changes to the rewards for card collections, just to name a few, are ruining this. Longtime players are losing interest because it is becoming impossible to get good rewards without paying, while what you pay for is decreasing in quality if you can afford to buy it.

Good, but close-minded game

This app doesn’t have any particular issues regarding ads or other of the sort and is pretty engaging and fun. My issue with this app is how they design their stuff. By the makeover I am currently on, I have seen them “normalize” at least 3 alternative people (depending on how you define alternative style). They use language that puts down those who wear that style in persuit of making them “normal.” The only reason this seems to fly over a lot of peoples heads (including mine) is because they are shown wearing raggedy cloths and homes with peeling wallpaper, stains, old furniture, the kinds of things you see in cleaning videos. But when the makeover is done, they are not a more stylish and put-together THEM, they are stylish, put-together, and very clearly not wearing what they want. A tiny bit of their original style may remain, but it is just a tiny bit. It sends a message that being alternative is unattractive. Ugly. Undesirable. Something that needs to be fixed. Also, their faces for your personal style are just generic archetypes of 5 races. We need more faces. And body types.

It’s perfect, but not so perfect

So it’s really fun but the thing I don’t like is that when you have to play and you want one of the Shortcuts like the perfume or the hairbrush you have to pay real life money to get it or you have to have gems and unless you complete a round that’s when you get gems and if you don’t, they don’t give you gems And and without gems if you’re out of the Shortcuts, it won’t help you and there’s only such a amount of moves so it’s not that perfect.

It’s incredibly annoying to open the game only to be forced through a barrage of pop-ups about events, boosts, things to buy, things to use, and mandatory gift claims before I can even start playing. Why can’t I just have the freedom to play the game? Why am I forced into a dozen different events, collection cards, and promotions every time I log in? There may be an “X” to close the pop-ups, but it doesn’t actually let you skip them. You still have to sit through and interact with each one before you’re finally allowed to play. It’s frustrating and makes the game feel more like an advertisement. Not cool.

i mean it’s fine

new review: great game. it boring after a while, though. the only reason i still have it is because my 2-year-old brother likes smashing the “booms” together. \\ original review: my problem? the timed makeover challenges are near-impossible to do without buying the time extension, which i simply won’t be doing. like, i REALLY wanted to finish the puppet and the moon goddess ones, but i ran out of time too quickly. i’m not buying the time extensions, but i desperately want to finish a timed challenge. do you people think that we have infinite free time to play your game and infinite money to spend on it? because we don’t. please please please give us more time 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 also: please give us more money per level. 300 coins each was fine when they were easy, but at a certain you can’t do them without boosters. and, if others are anything like me, you likely don’t have boosters without ads or buying them. we need at least 600 coins per level, since you normally have to spend 20 lives trying to beat two levels just to get that amount to buy the cheapest items— which always cost way more than 600 coins.

Too many pop ups

I used to love playing this game but every time I open it now they are adding so many pop ups and upgrades to pay for that by the time you get to actually play it feels like such a chore to have to close all of the pop ups. It used to be so fun and it still is once you close all of the ridiculous extras they keep adding. But I might end up deleting the app.

Amazing but misleading

The game it overall is amazing, but I wish that the game itself was more like the ads. They advertised it as something totally different than what I played. When I first downloaded the game and saw that it wasn’t like the ads I wasn’t surprised, but I was a little disappointed because it looked really fun on the ads. 4+ year player

I have been actively playing PM for over 4 years- it’s truly the only game I’ve downloaded that is not hounding you with ad’s for other programs and you never have to pay your way through. 10/10 game however two things sort of annoy me and I was interested to see if others agree. One being the addition of “cards” - they never seem to do much for me and I have to click out of them every time because they take so long to present on the screen. Also when I haven’t played in a week or so the amount of in app pop ups that bombard you are comical. I just counted 12 before I could even play a level- that’s insane! Other than that I love my clique and will continue to enjoy PM!

Hair and jewelry

Why make the hair hideous. I don’t understand. Put some good styles in. You took away my favorite hairstyle and put in the most ugly. And the jewelry is boring. I really want to kinda give up on this game. My favorite part is dressing up the doll. It takes so long to get new pieces and then when you do, they’re ugly or plain come on guys do better.

You’re losing your most loyal users

I started playing this game within six months of its launch and clearly still have some loyalty to it, I play every day because I like completing the makeovers. Admittedly, I have spent money on this game in the past and thankfully, I am exercising self-control at this point because you seem to be doing everything in your power to make loyal users and new users not want to continue to play your game. Your surveys are useless, you don’t allow any room for users to give feedback on things that are driving users away from your game, like making prizes, worth almost nothing and providing no real incentive for players to keep wanting to play without spending stupid amounts of money. Used to be good! Now it’s a RIP OFF!!

This game used to be so much fun, from the makeovers, to the prizes, and the events. Now, if you want to advance in any of the events, you have to spend your actual hard earned money otherwise you won’t get any prizes (like the extra clothes etc). They just keep adding more events. If I wanted to pay for clothes for my avatar, then that should be it. Not some stupid raffle…where I have to beat levels in order to get points towards the raffle before the event expires. Bring back the old features!!!

Can’t beat a level without power ups

This game sucks. Almost at level 2000 but it’s not even fun anymore because you can’t even beat the easy levels without power ups. Boo to the developers, they just want you make in-app purchases.
