Songo - Tournament of Spirits

About

Awale, Oware, Ayo, Omweso: sixteen national games, one tournament, offline.

Mancala is the national game of sixteen African countries, under sixteen different names: Awale in Cote d'Ivoire, Songo'o in Cameroon, Oware in Ghana, Ayo in Nigeria, Omweso in Uganda, Igisoro in Rwanda... Songo carries all of them, with their real rules, in a single game. A TOURNAMENT, NOT A MATCH Face the five spirits of the village one after another. Between rounds, pick one charm out of three: the Ant captures on 4 seeds, the Chameleon grants an extra turn, the Griot shows what every pit will yield. Lose a round and the run is over. Every tournament plays differently. TWO FAMILIES OF RULES Awale has two rows and a store: you win by collecting most seeds. Omweso has four rows and no store: you win by blocking your opponent. These are not two variants, they are two games, and Songo ships both engines. One tutorial per family, on the real board. SIXTEEN MARKETS TO UNLOCK Two games are open from the start, one per family. Every tournament you win opens a new one. The Daily Challenge lets you taste a different market every day, locked ones included, and everyone plays the same run. 28 ACHIEVEMENTS, A LEVEL, TITLES From Apprentice to Spirit of the Tournament. Every capture, every streak, every market won counts. BUILT FOR REAL PHONES - 100% offline after install: no data used while playing - Under 40 MB - Runs on entry-level Android phones - Auto-save: resume your run exactly where you left it - No ads, no purchases, no account Board and seeds rendered in 3D, opponents with portraits and taunts, wood sounds and music. Songo collects no personal data. A game by koatiromeo, independent developer. DAILY RITUALS AND COLLECTION Complete three daily objectives to earn experience and cowries. Follow your play streak and unlock Jade, Moonstone and Rose Quartz seeds through play. Rewards are earned in the game, with no purchases.
