would love to play this game if it didn't crash every couple of minutes reversing all the progress I did that day. I've been trying to do the five plant puzzle and it's crashed four times so its made me start over four times. i do love the game and the art though.

Love this game

good fun game

Cosy visual novel detective type game, some hints and descriptions are too vague though.

- katelynn gordon · v1.1.665
A brilliant, original, beautiful game! Loved it.
- Veneda Goodwin · v1.1.665
it's fun and interesting, i wish there is the 2nd installment, with voiceover, animation, better rack to display the plants, more story and mysteries, plant encyclopedia with colors, and a journal where i can write notes.
- Mae Auditore · v1.1.665
it's a cool, entrancing little treasure hunt
- Michelle P · v1.1.665
I was looking for a game that didn’t have too much stress, but was also interesting plot wise so that it could keep my mind engaged. This game is the perfect mix of that. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something to destress with after a long day.
- 💜Alli💜 · v1.0.17
NICE game with cozy feeling 🌟🪴
- Vicky Parab
What a great game! Engaging, relaxing music, and an adorable void!
- Gabriela Durini · v1.1.665
This game has been delightful. I wish a few things were different but I know it would have taken extra work to create the different storylines and outcomes. I wish you could give anyone anything like a real horticulturist, and deal with the fallout good and bad. I wish you could give Ambrella instead of the Elixir of the Damned to Alden Gregory day 15, or turn customers away altogether. Wonderful game!
- Fae Donegan · v1.1.665
I really enjoyed this game. it was a good mix of easy and hard. I definitely didn't get bored of it at all. It had a good story line with good puzzles :) The only sad part was at the very end when I still had 11 plants to identify. I would have loved it if it ended with 11 customers needing the plants. A free play shop mode would be fun too! like maybe you earn money and can buy recipes or something. Or even a spin off game where you're a proper shop keeper
- Jellybean · v1.1.665
beautiful and fun
- Heidi Cautrell · v1.1.665
fun and very interesting and mysterious there so much to this game than selling flowers I was going to buy it for my switch until I saw it free for mobile
- Alisha Thomson (Lish) · v1.1.665
I love this game so much. I have only just finished day 3 but I feel as though I am going to enjoy it more each day I play.
- Clea Davis · v1.1.665
unique game play with nice story and design. I enjoyed every bit of this game.
- Phương Anh Nguyễn
Engaging and relaxing. I love games that tell a great story, keep you wanting to play and don't involve purchases or alliances to finish. Oh and there is actually a finish. I loved every second of it. I am hoping there will be more like this to come.
- Bevan Ransco
The game is fun to play, with lots of puzzles to solve. I haven't noticed any bugs, and there are no ads or extra things to buy.

awesome💕thoroughly engaging..have had to use hints sometimes as the map is a bit confusing..should have more of these kind of games. lovely flowers and interesting gameplay👍🏻
- Ja /Ja · v1.1.665
I wish I could rate this game higher, but it becomes increasingly unplayable after the halfway point. I tried to play it a while ago on an old phone and rated it higher because I thought my phone was partially to blame. After trying to play it again on a new phone and having the same experience I am now convinced it's the game. The game itself is enjoyable, the mobile version is not optimized and frankly that is unacceptable.
- Dani Bollenbacher
Amazing game but it's REALLY not optimized for mobile. It's janky and crashed my phone several times, plus it consumes HUGE amount of battery. Edit: Actually, forget it. It crashed THREE TIMES just in the past 30 mins, the game is unplayable at this point, even tho I loved it so much that alone has soured my experience tremendously. Paying for jank is a huge frustration. It will remain 1 star until the devs care to optimize it for mobile.
- this or that · v1.1.665
This game is complex and engaging as you move through the story of a horticulturist thrust into a strange plot. The mechanics are familiar but presented in a unique way. There are no microtransactions. Plus, there are multiple endings. It does have a drawback: the graphics. Text is tiny and plants are detailed; zooming isn't enough. Be careful of eye strain. Also, it's right-oriented only, but that's minor. It's a fantastic game!
- Caraiya · v1.1.665
overall it was interesting. i just expected a longer story, maybe some sidestories. the main story was kind of simple
- Lia Kon · v1.1.665
great vibes and mood
- Yervant
Great clues. Very intuitive and enjoyable.
- Emma Pearson · v1.1.665
The mood is perfect and feels like the game should come with a real life black cat. And a secret garden
- Ambi Guous · v1.1.665
the text of this game capitalizes scientific epithets in plant names. I know it's just a game, but it's hard to have fun with such a huge botanical error breaking immersion.
- D G · v1.1.665
whimsical and cute. soothing music and gameplay
- Reagan McCracken · v1.1.665
An absolute gem! The cozy atmosphere, clever puzzles, and beautiful artwork make every moment a joy. A wonderfully unique game that's both relaxing and captivating. ❤️
- S. E · v1.1.665
requires a lot of switching back and forth between the clues and book because you can't name a plant until a customer asks for it. The small print also requires a lot of zooming and scrolling on a phone so it starts to feel repetitive and frustrating. Great premise, but needs work. 3.5 stars
- Amy Wenzl · v1.1.665
Really unique game. Truly enjoyed it.
- Patti B · v1.1.665
Very nice. I got it on Steam and liked it, but since I can't take a desktop computer with me, I thought I would get the mobile version.
- Elena Flores · v1.1.665
Works as well as can hoped for on mobile. Is still the fun game I remeber. Over all great.
- Andrew cassell · v1.1.665
Strangely intriguing game. A little bit puzzle, a little bit mystery, a little bit seek n find. Slow paced and relaxing.
- Lee Diogeneia (True) · v1.1.665
Great, chill and relaxing game. I find myself falling asleep while playing because of the background music. Its a huge help to have no timer, play at your own pace!
- Juno Fortis · v1.1.665
clever, difficult, and relaxing ✨
- Cameron Holley-Fowlkes · v1.1.665
it would be better if the gameplay was smoother and zooming in and out not as much of a hassle but it is interesting

- O A · v1.1.665
Excellent game! It's a delightful botanical puzzle adventure, enjoyable to play and beautiful art style too. Thank you!
- Bex Rowley · v1.1.665
Puzzle game, providing folks with plants described by a strange book and exploring the map for new plants. It requires attention to detail, but it's interesting and very relaxing so far. Lots of text, so not a great "second screen" game. I'm enjoying the gameplay, and curious about the plot
- Ethel Evans · v1.1.665
fantastic chilling puzzle game
- Xander Honest
lot of fun
- Kady Wisdoman · v1.1.665
excellent game, very fun with good difficulty progression. honestly i recommend a whiteboard or notepad for solving some of the later clues, but its extremely worth the 5 dollars, I have only gotten one ending so far and am back in it again seeking to change that decision, and also to read anything i missed the first time
- Anna Crownover · v1.1.665
Great Puzzle game with a cat to pet.
- Cassandra G.G. · v1.1.665
fun game, incredible story! absolutely love it
- Suzie Massey · v1.1.665
A beautiful occult shopkeeping game with an eerie atmosphere, deduction and pattern-recognition puzzles, and a terrific storyline with many choices! This is one of my favourite games. The devs made another game in the same universe called Strange Horticulture, if you like this I would recommend checking that out too!
- Tharini Suresh
loving the journey so far. Update: Beautiful game. Genuinely enjoyed learning all the data and the story along the way! I loved my experience ♥️
- Leonard Stone · v1.1.665
I was excited when o saw this game cause I liked the esthetic amd liked the idea pf learning about new plants. no tutorials, no guide of any sort just throws you in the game with no idea where to start and the one hint it did give isnt really helpful and after completing the action doesnt progress the game anyways.
- Katheryne Ammerman
im on day 5 and I had to ask reddit for help twice but the storyline was worth it
- Nikki Prible · v1.1.665
Great game!! Love the story and puzzles.
- Sandra Curnutt · v1.1.665
FIRST OF ALL— WOW! What a ride. i played the game for 2 days. o_o this actually stimulated my brain just enough. it's not frustrating when you can't find the right block in the map, it's not frustrating when you can't guess the right plants either. i enjoyed it even when I make a few mistakes. LOVE THE CAT. love the petting. And the lore??? noice. I appreciate the dialogues as well, you really have to read them. it's not too long and boring either. so.. 5 stars and more to this game! 👌🏼
- Liko Cha · v1.1.665
A nice cozy, dark puzzle game. A little hard to read on mobile but zooming in and using the magnifying glass helps and I was able to read everything in the game. A lot of reading, map scanning and plant identification (obviously).
- Katie “KaPow!” · v1.1.665
cute, but no straight forward instructions or guidance
- Bethanee Lynn · v1.1.665
Very good atmosphere but clues can be pretty ambiguous and the target you get in the grave the harder it is to play it you have ADHD or other issues with memory. The game relies *heavily* on you just knowing or remembering things and provides virtually no other way to index knowledge.
- Miriam Malice · v1.1.665
I played this on the switch but I must have prefer it on my tablet. it's a great puzzle game.

- Dyorvik · v1.1.665
awesome puzzle game, great atmosphere, amazing for the price especially, a great buy.
- Stephanie Valis · v1.1.665
There is nothing like it! From the background music, to the story with multiple endings, and of course Hellbore, this is hands down my favorite puzzle game. You need to be able to read and pick up on context clues. I have beaten this game some many times on steam at this point its an addiction and now I have it on my phone 😂 hoping they bring Strange Antiquities to the phone as well!
- MKK · v1.1.665

- Lisa Johnson · v1.1.665

- Labeeba Hosain
я давно не был в восторге от игры. Несложная, успокаивающая головоломка при этом есть сюжет и ближе к концу твои действия уже решают к какой концовке ты идешь. В общем, супер! 5 баксов не жалко)
- WiiliEK05 · v1.0.14
well done!!! if you like this you'll really really love this.
- Dustin Harweger · v1.1.665
I was instantly put off by zero info on buttons, tools, etc. I soldiered on, figuring out basics. However, when the second customer arrives for a plant I don't have, I was done. I'm playing to enjoy the experience, not feeling like I'm trying to find material for my dissertation on a particularly obtuse subject. If you're making a game, then show us the rules, especially when they are apparently complex enough that a half hour of my time is insufficient to determine what they are.
- R Schaefer (Teseractime) · v1.1.665
Well designed. Great story line!

10/10 my new favorite puzzle game
- Rowan Osteen
Cozy story puzzler. Nice use of a gridded map for puzzles and world building.
- Jonathan Anderson · v1.1.665
UI is not optimized for phones. I may try this game out on steam, but the phone version is very much just vaguely made into a touchscreen game with no optimization for it being on a MUCH smaller screen. Just trying to flip through the book and label plants at the very start had me struggling because the book would be set down when I tried to flip a page or vice versa. It could use a whole layout change beyond "If you can't read the tiny text, use two fingers to zoom in!".
- Hannah Moss · v1.1.665
the game keeps kicking me out on day day 2. I asked for a refund within 24 hours which was declined. The game is faulty why am I forced to keep something that doesn't work?! very disappointed.

- sockline · v1.0.17
Great way to pass the time! Highly recommend!
- Khatcj · v1.0.17
This little game is a gem!! It has everything I need in a game; Depth, intrigue, enjoyment. It’s not so difficult that it becomes tedious or boring. You’re not rushed into making decisions or taking action. The graphics and artistry are absolutely stunning and the overall feel of the visuals is quaint and cozy. If you do end up hitting a stumbling block, there are helpful walkthroughs online you can easily find, and you are given the option of starting over should you choose to do that. I’ve hit a snag a couple times(the plants can be a bit difficult to match up with the guide book) and restarted with ease. Overall, I am so very happy I found this game! It scratches the brain itch for me!
- raiden_0123 · v1.0.14
I loved this game. It is beautiful and intriguing yet cozy. My only complaint is that it is a quick storyline and game to “beat”. I finished it in three days.
- coven26845 · v1.0.14
I would really like to have something or a way to figure this out. It’s just a room with small flowers and some stuff to the side so I don’t really have the eyes for the tiny gadgets on the side. I have played many games like this but you have some direction. The layout is really bad. Sorry it seems interesting but looks like it’s dead as for as anything else.
- twistedchic · v1.0.14
I have nothing at all negative to say about the game itself, but the awkward inventory management on iPad and tendency of the game to reset itself to the Unity splash screen when switching windows even momentarily really interfere with the flow of gameplay.
- Yet_Another_Matt · v1.0.14
Such a lovely, novel game. I never want it to end. The main mechanic is captivating, the puzzles along the way just the right kind of intriguing, and the plot line satisfying. I do so hope there will be more. Pet the cat. Update: I love the game so much I've played it again after giving myself enough time to forget all the clues. Please, please, please add a new story!
- Quatloo · v1.0.14
I’ve played three days and I love it. If you’re in the mood for cozy, dark academia vibes, not a lot of pressure but a whole lot of quiet thought set to beautiful instrumental music, this is for you.
- Vefsrdt · v1.0.17
I love this game a lot, very neat gameplay. It’s not too difficult and it’s not too easy to figure out clues.
- Nikki5411 · v1.0.17
Horticulture with sunless skies or series of unfortunate events vibes. Illustrations are beautiful and cozy. The app itself is responsive and intuitive. I'm enjoying the story and the deductive reasoning/strong use of observational skills. Good for both longer sessions and short bursts while commuting
- fishrule · v1.0.17
Just finished watching her play Strange Antiquities and had to see if Strange Horticulture was available for iPad. Thankfully, it was!
- GrogPDX · v1.0.17
I love the game, but a couple things… First, the orientation is locked. I had the charging cable on my left, and the game opened upside down. I was surprised it wouldn’t flip around. Second, I can’t use the Apple Pencil to play. Third, given the choice of scrolling the inventory or using buttons, why not both? I hope there will be an update to address these. Thanks.
- ferretface99 · v1.0.14
It took me a little time to get into it but it’s super fun and atmospheric.
- AddieSeagull · v1.0.17
I was super excited to play this game on the iPad but after downloading, realized this does not support Apple Pencil usage.
- Corncorn96 · v1.0.14
This game has cool customers that come up for you to identify plants for which is fun and underneath all of the identifying is a huge dark plot line that wraps everything up so nicely. genuinely love this game
- verilyhllw · v1.0.14
It has some challenges that I had to think through and interesting characters. I like the plot and storylines too. I would like to see more from the creators of this one. I like the spookiness of the storyline, with the traveling to find rare plants. Love a cat in the window, and a librarian friend. I did think I would have to search a picture for plants but they are offered to you. Thank you for the no-ad game play for someone who wants to find clues, and solve mysteries.
- CJ-83 · v1.0.17
I like what you have to do in this game plus this game is very good 👍 good 👍 good 👍
- The game reviewing traveler · v1.0.14
This game cannot be clicked with the Apple Pencil on iPad, it can only be operated with the finger. It has been a year and there is still no improvement
- Waibibabo. · v1.0.14
BUY THIS GAME. If you don’t, you are missing out. A significant amount of thought, effort, and love clearly went into this game, and it shows in every aspect. The puzzle design is rock-solid. I completed every puzzle and every solution made sense and felt like a clear result of the clues I was given. The plant identification is varied and creative, and never feels formulaic — you never know exactly what clue will lead you to identification so identification remains interesting throughout the game. The single thing I found myself disliking (and the only reason I’m not playing through a second time) was the lack of quick access to the full width of my plant window — simply keeping your identified and unidentified plants separate becomes slightly tedious when you have enough of both it takes more than a second or two to scroll to a new spot; some kind of “overall” view where you could see the whole window at once would help tremendously. However, that’s the ONLY gripe I had after playing for like 5 hours over multiple sessions and identifying every single plant in the game. Even with that flaw, this game is still 5/5. Brilliantly executed and well worth the money. BUY IT.
- FriendShapedFox · v1.0.14
Best game if your into the mysterious and supernatural genre of video games. I hope they can give it new chapters or even a second game with the same vibes.
- julhh1 · v1.0.14
This was a very cozy puzzle game. Loved figuring out the plants and solving the puzzles, especially on the map. It was so short of a game, though. It feels like there should have been several more chapters or storylines.
- bithal103 · v1.0.14
Honestly this game is so fun. def wouldnt say for kids. The storyline is amazing. i saw someone say there was nothing else to do besides the puzzles. as if this isnt a puzzle game. they even said there was no storyline. which there clearly is. its abt this woman who receives a letter from her uncle who passed handing down his horticulture shop in this small town. theres a witches coven in the forest where someone important was murdered and while you identify plants. you meet all the ppl involved and have to make choices that effect how the ending plays out. been playing off and on for a few years now. and by off and on i mean ill play through a few times. not get any new endings and put it down so i can forget the way i played again.
- Irl Shaggy · v1.0.14
I adore this game. Cozy but with gothy elements (beauty in the ugly, darkness in the light), it is addictive. It provides even an addict with good points to put it down and have a life, though, which is more than many games. For those who love organization elements, it’s perfect. The puzzles are challenging without making you lose hair. Note: I experienced semi-frequent crashes while researching in the book. I’m playing on an iPad mini running 18.4.x, with the game on a 1.1.x version, so Playjoy please look into this! This did not affect my game score, ymmv.
- Devi-chan · v1.0.14
Fun. Spooky themes. Plants.
- ..*..*..*..Snow · v1.0.14
I love this game! No extra costs once you buy. Almost a “dark academia” vibe. The perfect rainy day cozy game, I just wish I could use my Apple Pencil. That is literally the only downside.
- vivalaroy · v1.0.14
Quirky, unique, and fun puzzles with a spooky storyline. Great if you love plants, but it’s not necessary. A top choice.
- Dankplant · v1.0.14
It’s fun and cute, and I enjoyed playing it.. but after the second day of playing it.. I just got so bored because it was repetitive and low-engaging with no new interaction! But for a game you want to do before bed to get you bored and sleepy it works!
- 💕 Game lover · v1.0.14
It’s cute and kinda of fun but a lot of the “clues” are super vague and don’t make sense
- Gizmodo’s · v1.0.14
I’m loving the game so far but as I progress further the game keeps crashing. I’m currently on Day 14 and I don’t want to get further into it for fear of the same thing happening as I keep having to redo my current task.
- Semicolon521 · v1.0.14
Paid for and downloaded this game. It looks so fun and cute, however, why is this not compatible with the Apple Pencil? All my other games like this are. Is there a special setting I need to use?
- daisygamer · v1.0.14
This game caught my attention on Steam a while back, and I had it on my wish list. It instantly reminded me of the Professor Layton series — both in puzzles and art style so I was very excited to play. I saw it was available in the App Store for $5 and figured ‘why not?’ This game is so cozy and the puzzles are clever and the characters are intriguing. This game has 8 different endings so I am sure there are lots of things I haven’t even encountered yet, and I’d love to see this game expanded or a sequel. 5/5 definitely one of my favorite games I’ve played.
- Cassafrass90 · v1.0.14
I love the eerie feeling of the game, the graphics, the old timey way of speaking. The occult! Secret societies & psychics! I grow shrooms & have an herbal business, and use tarot cards etc so I identify with the strange horticulturist. I hope I can find more games like this, I don’t want it to end.
- alienwildflower · v1.0.14
Not worth money
- Drake N Bake · v1.0.14
Print is too small for me to see, though the view can be expanded. That makes it playable, but too much moving back and forth to see the game play and read is awkward and annoying. Lots of plants, vague descriptions, and vague hints don’t make the game more challenging. Just more confusing.
- Fish netter · v1.0.14
This game is extremely fun and engaging. It has enough of a mystery to keep me playing and it really makes me feel like I have my own strange horticulture shop. Some of the puzzles are hard yet the game overall is very fun to play.
- patrick98776554 · v1.0.14
Very fun, easy to play game. The story was well written and interesting, the puzzles were clever, and the sounds were incredible. I really enjoed playing this, and hope to see more from the developers in the future.
- AErmlich13 · v1.0.13
I bought this game yesterday and have really been enjoying it. However, there is a glitch when I zoom in on the screen that prevents me from being able to zoom all the way out after. Because of this, I can’t read the plant descriptions and the game is essentially unplayable when that happens. I believe it happens when I am looking at the map with a clue/letter overlayed and I zoom in. If I delete the app and redownload it, it fixes the issue. But I’ve had to delete it probably 5 times now and it’s very annoying. Without this glitch the game would get 5/5 starts. If it gets fixed I will update my review.
- Staniel Chairhead · v1.0.13
I’m really enjoying this game! Challenging enough to be fun, without being stressful. Graphics are lovely and the UI is easy to navigate. I’m only a few hours into this game, but I can tell I’ll be sad when I’ve finished it.
- birdielover330 · v1.0.13
Probably the coziest games I’ve seen since SDV. Gab Smders did bring me here and blessings upon her for playing it. Glad I can finally see the different endings ☺️
- asurrra · v1.0.13
This is exactly the kind of game I was looking for! I love puzzle games like the Room series, and while this isn’t as “tactile” as the 3D puzzles in those games, it does somehow scratch the same itch. :)
- jalapeno_bizz · v1.0.13
I don’t remember where I heard about this game but was so intrigued by the description that I knew I wanted to try it, and it’s everything I hoped for! First, a low price that meant I could just buy it outright and not deal with annoying ads! Then, fascinating and interesting gameplay that I love just as much as I thought I would. Lovely artwork, moody music and sound effects… just love it!
- Radmilla · v1.0.13
I love this game. I hope they come out with additional content, I will buy it immediately.
- Andercovny · v1.0.13
I love this game. I watched Gab Smolders play for about 30 minutes before trying to find it to play myself. It can be very fun to hear the stories of people and play doctor or help solve some puzzles using the plants you can discover. If you’re looking for a game with good story in between puzzles, this is it!

Cute idea, but very repetitive and very boring. There is no real storyline here.

Short story, compelling storyline. There are definitely a lot of plants so keep in mind that you’ll likely only play this game once.

On Monday day 4 and cannot move the plants to customers or to the microscope. Plants will not move at all!

Nice art style but the puzzles are oblique and very hard to figure out. Just google “lemon dandy” plus this game, and you’ll see the numerous questions from many people stuck in the first part of the game. Promising but wish I could get a refund.

From what I can tell all you do over and over is guess a plant from some small amount of clues. When you guess correctly you get new unidentified plants in your shop. There doesn’t seem to be any compelling overarching story, or reward system aside from gaining more plants. It seems to be a pointless cycle of get clue, guess which plant, receive new plant, get clue, guess plant… and on and on . If there ends up being more to it I’ll change my review, but I think I’ve been playing at least an hour or so at this point. The clues and plants aren’t even particularly interesting. Like find a red plant, find a waxy plant…zzzzzzz
