Great game but lacking basic features

This app is a fantastic way to play TM over and over with ease. It could be a 5 star game, were it to add two features that are standard in mobile board game adaptations these days in 2026. Missing feature 1: no “undo” button. Almost all digital board game adaptations have one, but TM doesn’t. Play the wrong card or hit the wrong button? Too bad. This game can be crunchy, and the inability to redo an action can be frustrating at times. Missing feature 2: you can only access your DLC if you are connected to the internet. Preludes and Venus Next are great, but if you’re playing this on an iPad and you’re on the road or in an airplane with no wifi, you are stuck playing the base game only. That is no good; other digital board game adaptations let you enjoy DLC without an internet connection (e.g., I can use all my DLC “Root” factions or “Dune Imperium” DLC regardless of internet), so it’s very frustrating that your TM DLC purchases are only sometimes available.

Friend bought the board game for me and we love it. We're able to play anywhere with this app. I really appreciate that I can try out the expansions before picking up the physical version to play at home. It brood a lot that the app keeps track of all the effects and actions as you collect them. Also by playing online we learned we had misinterpreted a few rules. The gameplay is intricate enough to keep it interesting, and it's good to know there are more layers to add with each expansion.

Online play desyncs

Overall pretty fun, but some of the ui elements could use some work for clarity. Also, online play locks you at 30 minutes of play rather than an incremental “chess clock”, so builds with multiple actions are punished as you use up more time

Timer ruins experience

You all need to do something about the in game timer It’s like a running clock, it takes time away from me when it’s my opponents turn. Many games, my opponent and myself play at the same pace, yet somehow 15 minutes or more ticks off of my time that doesn’t come off my opponent’s time. Why does my timer run off while the opponent is still on their turn? Why does my timer burn off during production phases? Why does my timer run off during draw phase but my opponent’s does not? This awful timer and the constant game sync issues ruin this otherwise fun game

Connection with asmodee ranking doesn't work for 1+ year. Karma is useless - change it to # of last 20 games finished regularly - no one would play with leavers with score under 13~15.instant improvement. Game crushing bugs. Fun game, but a lot of the cards (especially the newer expansion cards) aren't really working. Specifically, lots of tags are never recognized. I can play eight or nine Science or Venus tags before the game recognizes that I've played four or five. Makes it hard to meet requirements. ...and now it's not recognizing Earth tags either.

Good port of physical game a friend owns and we play. Looks good, and plays well. Worth the cash. I have a lot of games on my two tablets and this is a favourite. bought both expansions but yet to play other maps. Tutorial on project cards does not have a button to choose corporation but otherwise, game runs fine. Also had a bit of a faff getting game to recognise My purchases but my internet reception is awful. (no. 1 network for 10 years my A&£e). Ahem... Any more expansions planned ?

Well impressed with this implementation! I'm only playing solo so no idea what the current status is on online stability which features heavily in the negative comments, but single player is a joy to play :) . Very impressed that they managed to translate a game that's notorious for table space into a mobile UI! I do hope the devs are at work on a Turmoil DLC though...! :D

Good app, some nitpicks

This app helps makes a long game more accessible. I like the graphic artwork on the cards. The main downside is an AI that is not smart. I quickly realized that even the Hard difficulty level wasn’t a challenge for someone who has played about 10 games with the physical version. My way around this has been to play 4 Hard bots at once to provide more competition for things in the game and it increases the chance that one of the bots has a great game and beats me. I wish that I could click or press on special tiles to see what type of tile they are. I don’t have all of the corps memorized so it would be nice if I could tap or press on the corp name to bring up the same corp overview that appears at the start of the game. There hasn’t been any issues with game saves but I always leave the game at the start of a gen. No bugs or glitches that I’ve noticed.

Keeps losing purchases

I've been critical of Twin Sails lack of QA on this app but recently they've been more diligent about updates and fixing bugs lately. If the trend continues, this really will be a terrific digital version of a great board game and will be well supported. As an example, Extended Start in solo mode is a terrific add; wonderful to see them include quality of life improvements with more frequent bug fixes.

Unplayable for local co-op

With each and every update, they continue to fail to correct the return order indicator! Doing pass and play is hopeless on iPad because you cannot tell who needs to pick new cards first so it leads to screwed up turns. And even then, between turns, it defaults to showing the other play screen until you manually tap on your own. It makes no sense. These problems have persisted through every iteration. We’ve finally just given up.

Love the board game but the app is riddled with bugs

Bought this to play with my family when on travel but the game freezes constantly or kicks players out requiring constant exiting and reloading of the game. The font is ridiculously small with no way to increase it or zoom in making it difficult for phone play. Definitely an iPad game. Lots of other improvements needed on the UI to make this a 5 star game.

Buggy as heck

When I first downloaded this, it was great! It is so much more power efficient than the steam versiom (phone doesn’t die as fast as laptop) With every update, the app seems to get buggier. I can no longer use steel to pay for Aquifer pumping, and at least once a save couldn’t load past 75% and I had to throw it out.

Offline Play Got Borked

With the new update, it no longer recognizes my purchases and I am only left with the base game unless I am connected to the internet. This is VERY annoying, as it means half the game is gone as soon as I go offline. It seems like every time the game gets updated, we get bugs that actually break the game. Game time

They need to fix the time in the online games. It’s a fun game but when it’s not even your turn and your time is going down when there’s another player still playing and collecting resources it’s takes the fun away. I just played a match where that happened to me and my opponent still had 15mins and I ran out of time. So the game doesn’t even let you see what happens at the end it just kicks you out. Please fix your game.

Tutorial broken

The tutorial is totally broken. Not to developers.Multiple tutorial modules get stuck. For example, when you get to the point it wants you to place a volcano, it says “you do not fulfill the requirements to place this card.” No way to back out, or move forward. You have to close the app and no way to access the rest of that module. Happens again in the next module where it tells you to “trade a resource for an advantage” it gets stuck again. This game is so complicated that without being able to complete most the tutorial, game is confusing and unplayable

Toll System Fix Needed

The card Toll system is supposed to increase your MC for every space tag all players have but regardless of the count it only increases your MC for 1. Please fix this. As for the app, it’s a load of fun with great tutorials, you will have to pay a decent amount of money to play with different maps, expansions, etc. so note the initial purchase is just to get you in the door, but a great strategic game with lots of active players for online matches

Do not waste your money

This app is actually the worst, it’s so buggy that is legitimately unplayable. I spent a week with a friend on a game, in the last 2 turns of the entire game it just decides that there’s a problem and deletes the game. We’ll never know who won. This is just one example of many of how completely unstable this game is. A whole week just gone. Why? You can’t even tab out of the app while playing a game without having to completely exit and relaunch the app. I wish I could get a refund honestly. I won’t be wasting another moment of my time on this game again.

HORRIBLE programming

The game CONSTANTLY crashes, you will lose your games in the middle of playing them 9/10 times. Half the time the app won’t even let me sign into my account. Every single time the developers release an update you will loose every game you have. This app has more bugs than any app I’ve ever purchased. Excellent game, buggy

This would be a 5 star review except for tags not being counted correctly- which is a repeatable and obvious bug that ruins games. For example- I used toll station while my opponents had 11 space tags between them… and my income stayed 6 before and after use of the card. Thus instead of 17 income I still had 6, and wasted money on the card. This breaks the strategy for several corporations.

Great game but bugs make it unplayable

I was excited to play this game on my iPhone but sadly it’s extremely buggy. On iPhone 17 I’m forced to play with no animation and on low quality graphic settings to get the game to actually play. Anything higher and it becomes frozen and unplayable. Online button doesn’t work, profile button doesn’t do anything and even clicking on the shop doesn’t lead you to the actual store. It’s such a shame that the developer couldn’t deliver on otherwise excellent table top game.
