This is one of the only mobile games I have found to be tolerable and actually enjoyable. There isn't much stress or strategizing but it's really fun to make some anime series and have a bunch of cool characters that you can play around with. If more work was done on the UI (which is not a lot of work), this would be better than Game Dev Tycoon and that says a LOT.

Anime Studio Story is fun but it's just a complete retread of the same ideas Kairosoft nailed in Game Dev Story. It's a cute simulation with nice humour and lovely pixel art, but once you get out of the difficulty of the early stages all challenge is gone and it becomes super-repetitive. Not to be too hard on the game as I enjoyed it and played it pretty solidly for 5-6 days, but I found Game Dev Story more compelling and this game doesn't really introduce any new ideas.

There is nothing to do. Just a numbers simulator. The first 15 minutes of the gM ame is the entire game. Nothing changes, and there is no incentive to progress.

Nice game to pass some time. Good stylised graphics, nice mechanics and there's a bit of progression. There's something addicting about seeing the numbers of your anime improve as you spend more money on them. The hiring system is pretty neat. It's a bit shallow though. It doesn't take much time to reach the end of the game, and after that it becomes pretty boring because there's nothing else to work towards.

Lots of fun, one of my favourites. My only (minor) issue is there is no real goal, or reason to replay, rather than continue the existing game once you reach the 20y time limit (other than maybe once to unlock fast mode). You can keep playing the existing game to unlock everything.

Honestly a really good simulation of what it must feel like to be in the entertainment industry. You have to make a product within certain parameters to get it to sell, with little to no space for creativity, which leads you to do the same thing over and over again to get results. Sadly, this makes for a boring game. I generally love Kairosoft games, but not this one. There's no room for thinking of creativity or fun. If you want to "succeed" you have to do the same things over and over. Boring

A nice, easy-going simulation game, that was enjoyable for a few playthroughs, before it became a bit repetitive. I found the music was basic and the controls weren't the most user friendly. That said, it was easy to get to grips with and has some charm. A nice option as part of PlayPass, but in my opinion, it's probably not worth spending money on, unless you're a die-hard fan of Kairosoft games.

There are very limited features and not many things to do in-game. You can only mix 2 themes together even if you get further in the game. You can also only choose one main character and it takes too long for them to level up so you have to keep making different works with the same one.

This installment is pretty good! It reminds me a lot of game dev story, as Iโm sure a lot of you who have already bought the game can agree. Sometimes when I try a new kariosoft game, I end up getting bored or donโt like the mechanics. (This rarely happens but when it does itโs frustrating) I can say anime studio has had me hooked for hours now! It isnโt the same way I was hooked to game dev story, sushi spinnery, or pocket stables, but Iโm having a lot of fun! My only complaint is that the background music is my least favorite out of all the games Iโve played from kariosoft. Itโs really annoying and does not fit at all. After a while I got engrossed by the game and I didnโt feel too bothered by it anymore, but if you wanna mute it, at least the game gives you the option to turn of BGM and leave SFX on. But seriously, Usually kariosoft BGM is relaxing and I find myself humming it for hours. This isnโt the case with this song. Also, the song unlooped is probably about 45 seconds, so the same ugly bridge comes very often. With other games it felt like the actual song was longer, so when it would loop it wouldnโt feel repetitive. Also this isnโt exactly relevant to the game itself, but I thought the title screen shown in the photos was the final office for a second. Iโm not necessarily let down that it isnโt, but I think the fans would be very happy if an office that big would ever come to one of your games! Sometimes after the years go on and youโve reached your goals, you want some more to do and manage. But anyways, thatโs just a personal thought. Iโve played countless kariosoft games and have loved the company for years. Iโve had a lot of fun so far with this game, I personally canโt compare it to some other kario games I love much more, but I still think itโs worth the time, 100%! Thank you for bringing us another game and Iโm excited to see what you will release in the future. :)

This game is one of the relics from the good old time when actually good games were made instead of brain manipulation tools made to make only money. This is one of the few actuakly good mobile games where you can just play a nice game and not be bombarded with promts to spend money to speed up a meaningleas time that is there only to get you to buy the speedup nor be bombarded with ads. you pay the fair price and get the nice game.

Background music is easily the worst I've ever heard in a video game. You will want to mute it within minutes of play. Unlike Game Dev story, which I loved, you can't increase speed of the game. So a lot of the game is just waiting. I couldn't take the wait time after 15 min of play. The game is dead to me until they let users speed it up.

Anime Studio is a game right in line with Game Dev Story and the magazine one. All 3 are instantly addicting and fun to play. In my opinion, the best part about these games is advancing through it and creating products with high stats that you didn't think you could obtain. It's great fun, truly. BUT, unlike Game Dev Story, in Anime Studio you can't create sequels to your products. You can't continue the line with further seasons of the tv show or further movies in the series. And that's a huge piece that is missing. I like to continue my creations, because any one anime feels irrelevant to me. I know it seems like a minor detail, but it has really turned me off of this game. I don't feel compel to continue after I've moved into the biggest office. It's still worth the purchase, but I am starting to accept that Game Dev Story was the peak of Kairosoft's games, and I'm sure a lot of you loyal players are feeling the same.

I have always been a fan if the Kairosoft games, but Game Dev Story always stood out to me. Game Dev Story gave me everything I wanted in a game developing simulator and more. I never thought I would like another Kairosoft game as much as it. Then, this game became a reality. I didn't even know I wanted to simulate an anime studio until I played this. Within the first day of getting it, I quickly poured a couple hours into it without another thought. In no time, I completed my first play through of the game, but I couldn't stop there. I realized I wanted to create the perfect character. Yet, to do that, I have to unlock everything to know what that would be. This game does what all games should do. It is easy to pick up and play, but it isn't as easy to master.

Anime Story is similar to Game Dev and Magazine Mogul. You hire the employees and the more you spend the better the employees. The twist they added was a nice and interesting touch. It kind of relates to what happens with tv shows in real life and actors/actresses becoming more popular based on the success of a show.

I went into this thinking that it was going to be an average story game. Once I bought it though It exploded I was making characters left and right! The aspect of making TV shows then trying to get an award is very appealing! I would recommend this to anyone who is up for a challenge that is sometimes hard sometimes easy!

... Not necessarily a bad thing. If you've played one Kairosoft game, you've played them all. This game allows you to create (using that term extremely loosely) a character in hopes that he or she will be the star of a hit anime. If you've played GameDev Story, it's probably safe to pass on this. The differences are negligible, though this game has a prettier sheen of paint.
