If you don’t spend money, don’t even bother

I played this game on and off for a few years, and now it is literally impossible to play unless you want to compete with people who literally spend hundreds every month. Every few hours your resources are completely wiped by the paying players and it takes days to get your troops back if you don’t spend money. If you don’t want to spend money, don’t even bother playing. What a cash grab this app is.

It’s pay to play game, don’t waste your time or money

Had high hopes for this game thought it would be so cool. But this game is trash. Takes a very long time to level up. You can grind to gather materials to upgrade your keep but good luck keeping it because bigger players that have teamed up and bought their place in the game will just bully you and take all your stuff anyways. Then proceed to laugh about it if you can’t afford to pay to play and buy shields for your keep. There’s no kind of ranking system to prevent big players from just demolishing smaller players. There’s no reason that a level 30+ should be able to attack a level 10-12. Why is it we’re limited on what creatures we can and can’t attack because they’re “too high-level” but the big players don’t have some sort of cap on how low of a keep they can attack?? That is not even fair, and you can’t even find them on the map to even attempt to fight back. There’s no kind of mutual agreement for pvp. The alliances are pretty much a joke because all the big alliances work together anyway and if you aren’t part of one of them you’re fked. And they’re all rude and entitled and treat smaller keeps like resources. There’s no reason one person should be able to hit my keep 25 times in a row. And if shields are so important, why aren’t they easier to just earn?? You literally have to buy the shield packs just protect little bit of stuff you do have. Like I just wanted to build a little kingdom and have a dragon, It’s not worth it and not even fun anymore don’t waste your time, money, or energy on this game. Edit: it’s still absolutely sucks. Still the same problems. I’m over this game.

Falls off fast

In the beginning it’s fun to gather heroes and improve your keep. The events are entertaining. But after a certain point you’re constantly being raided to the point you can’t upgrade anything because you constantly have to heal your troops and you either use up all your resources or shell out cash to keep advancing. At some point it’s just frustrating because any amount of progress you make is reset when you’re attacked and you have no troops or resources to work with

Slowly giving up

building up army, defense, traps and resources, get attacked and lose all my soldiers, and resources, my traps remain untouched and there is barely a dent in the attackers number even though everything was virtually identical, now stuck for 12 hours building resources to then wait another 12 to healing troops… getting close to giving up on this game

Can be fun but it’s a money pit. It doesn’t really teach you anything about how to play. Once you get zeroed it’s really hard to come back from it and customer support is garbage… they’ve had the same bugs for years minimal new content. Basically unplayable if you don’t spend money

Warning: stay away!

All the top players have figured out ways to cheat as an example. They use VPN to buy packs cheaply from overseas and you don’t know that until you’re a couple of thousand in. You’ll never be able to walk away from this game or any game like as you will be constantly under attack in the beginning. Once you get big enough not to be attacked you’re probably 10 K to 20 K in. Meanwhile the top players are cheating. As the game levels off they merge kingdoms. Not it’s you and 50 totally ego driven bullies isolating players. The amount of trash that happened in discord in this game from sex harassment to giving personal details on players was over the top. This game should be investigated. Designed to make you spend and there is NO winning. You never win.

Bad support

This game is fun I’ll give them that. You can make an account a money pit though. That itself wouldn’t be an issue. The reason they get 2 stars is because I’ve put so much money into my primary account the game glitched as it does from time to time. But the game caused my shield to not deploy even though I deployed it. Nor did I get notified of attacks. I lost a billion food and billion wood 300 million in troop power and a ton of stone and iron. I reached out to in game support they gave me back 80 million troop power and said that’s all they can do. So personally. Don’t put money into this game. Play it free to play. Don’t pay because when their glitch makes you suffer they don’t really care.

Glitches non stop

Money grab

The game is great it’s easy at first but then it turns into a money grab since it’s very difficult to obtain resources and keep them since you can get raided and have everything taken. You can’t even grind for resources because the enemies or farms you raid don’t provide practically anything. Even if you do spend money they ask for a bunch of it, 20 dollars barely gets you anywhere. Point of the review is you can’t win it’s pay to win

Good game, Indifferent management

I have played this game since April of 2019. It started as a fantastic game. Team players enjoy not only the game aspect but also making and keeping friends around the world. The downside is the expense. As with any multiple player game, there are players of varying resources. At the start, it was not so much a problem as the rewards for events and gathering, etc would sustain a player’s game. But as time as worn on, and greed and big spenders have come together, that has no longer been the case. Now the gathering does not give enough resources to even complete an event without spending on packs, which have dwindled in their contents as well. And now, as is usually the case, corporate is bowing to the wishes of those who drop more money in it than they do their living expenses. And yet, we all still love our game and our new friends. Just be sure to bring your inheritance, and look the other way when the game practices cater to the filthy rich.

Looks/Feels vs Reality

I got back into the game years after launch and for the first month it was engaging, until level imbalances was the ruination for me. Why as a level 21, with a keep at 14 can I just casually get curb stomped by max levels? I am forced to heal the army I have with scraps. Leveling up takes years so what’s the point. The missions are repetitive with no real strategy, either win or lose based on level. Card collector is simply that, and the dragon is the only soft spot I got. Love it, and hate it

Love this game, it’s been quite fun! Building up a kingdom and gaining power! The one thing I cannot stand is the ability to spam attack keeps… I have been unable to go more then 4 hours at many points without losing ALL my resources and troops. The game has just turned into “get food, heal troops, get attacked” and you are never given enough bubbles to adequately protect your keep unless you spend money on gold. I’m getting close to deleting the game as the spam attacks just take all the fun out of it, I feel like I’m just doing those three things over and over, when I could use that time to play a game where I can actually more forward (I like some difficulty!!! But not to the point where you can’t do anything anymore)

iPad app crashes multiple times/day and tech support gives nothing but the same canned “help”response, which doesn’t work. Be prepared to spend money if you want to play the game. It’s a scam set up by the game makers because if you truly want to advance, you have no choice but to spend as certain items cannot be “farmed” (ie marble, red gold).

Why?

Why does this very good thing (got) have to have snags for the user at some very crucial moments in his /her experience? The game is tantalizing! It keeps you on your toes. Nonetheless there are crucial flaws I.e. login and drop issues in the middle of the game. Or non delivery of purchased goods. And shall the times xsolla charges more than the agreed upon amount. These distractions take away from the enjoyment experience. Customer service are afraid to rectify the issues; instead points you to web developers or third parties. If yall really want to make this game fun, make it so a player 5+ levels higher than you can’t attack you. Completely derails your progress and there is no way to continue to advance because they are so much higher than you. Completely makes it a pay to succeed game to keep up with costs. Honest assessment after several months playing this event and reaching mid level. The ramp on time and money required is insane. You are rolling the dice on most aspects of this game. Sometimes it is downright unplayable on mobile. In my current server there is a harassment and cheating situation that has gone unaddressed by WB games. Not worth your time.

Great game but has fixable flaws.

I’ve been playing the game with dignity since November 2017 and have spent thou$ands of loyal dollars. I don’t like how easy it is for people to cheat by buying existing accounts, using game bots to play for them and those who have extra accounts to harass legit players. It’s a betrayal to the loyal players who continue to buy packs and support the game and the jobs of its workers. There are definitely ways to right those wrongs while increasing profits.
