its an interactive story type deal....theres a few things u do but it doesn't justify this being called a game....I dont know why there are so many of these types and the stories usually always suck... if I wanted to read I would just find a story to read....when I download a game I actually want to play a game......playstore should categorize these types as books instead of games

What a game!!!!! Definitely one of the best in this genre!!! I don't know why people have rated it anything less than 5 stars because the story was on point, and the character designs and art were excellent OMG, everything was on point!!! I absolutely loved the experience from beginning to end, yet it still left me wanting more. Really excited to know what will happen next with the choice I made at the end. Can't wait for the sequel. So glad I got to play it through Play Pass!!!!

Gorgeous game and I’m genuinely enjoying it, but the screen timeout is ridiculous. For a game this dialogue-heavy, it should absolutely prevent the phone from going to sleep during active gameplay. Having to double-tap the screen every few seconds so Android doesn’t lock my phone while I’m literally reading dialogue is incredibly frustrating and breaks the immersion. Spectacularly bad mobile UX for an otherwise beautiful game.

I was entirely ready to give this an *easy* 5 stars. Gameplay is great, the characters are loveable, humor is wonderful (CJ is amazing) - took my time, read everything I could. I was even considering a second play through to see what effect different choices had. And then, right at the climax and end, I was hit with "To be continued." What?? Nowhere does it say "Jenny LeClue Detectivu, Season One". When's the next part coming out? Well, it's been 6 or 7 years, so probably never. Disappointing.

I loved this game! The art is amazing and the gallery is a very fun addition! Jenny is so insufferable </3 but that's part of the charm. The only downside is that New Game+ doesn't have a skip feature?? it's kinda unplayable. I really wish to explore different paths, but the lack of a skip feature makes New Game+ useless. Fantastic game otherwise!

Abysmal. Not a game; it's a linear graphic novel with verbose dialog. Over 13 hours to "play," and choices don't matter. Unbelievably annoying and recurring puzzles concerning lock picking and radio frequencies are nearly enough to make you throw the phone across the room. No skip available. Inexplicably interspersed with multiple art and sticker collection hotspots which add nothing to the experience other than time. Cliffhanger ending and clearly abandonware nearly 7 years after release.

I would really like to give this game more than 3 stars but... The gameplay, while not bad, is very simple and it doesn't get much more complex as the story progresses. Where the game really shines is in the story, characters, delivery and dialogue. A+++ in that department. The issue I have (and it's huge) is the cliffhanger ending. It's a cheap, shallow slap in the face to all gamers who have invested hours into the game. And it's been SEVERAL years later and no sequel... Kinda disappointing

For an adventure story puzzle game, the animation, voice acting and music are great. But there were a few things that I didn't enjoy, eg collecting stickers and postcard pieces, which didn't do anything for the game, except to slow down progress. Also as some users mentioned, the cut scenes were quite long and draggy too, breaking momentum. Finally, some of the puzzles were really repetitive and tedious, eg lock picking and connecting wiring. Hopefully these are fixed in the sequel.

Super cute game. The art style is lovely and well thought out. The only reason I gave it 4 stars vs 5 is because there was a LOT more story than actual puzzles, and the puzzles were pretty basic. I think this is a great game for kids who enjoy murder mysteries, but might leave the more experienced puzzle players wanting more. I also wish there was a skip the cut scenes button. I feel like there was a lot of time watching vs playing. But still a great intro game for kids for this type.

It is a great game with a horrible cliffhanger. I did have problems trying to click on items. There was a lot of back and forth and dragged out scenes that made the game twice as long. It seems like I was climbing up a ladder for 5 minutes straight. What was the stickers for? There were so many of them. I wish there were more puzzles. Icannot wait for part 2. I guess it's been a long time since you've came out with part 1. so when are we going to get a part 2? CJ was my favorite character lol.

Wonderful! played for free on play pass, spent a solid 8hrs on my first playthrough. I love mystery and detective games, not sure how this slid under my radar. it was just delightful. the puzzles weren't overly channeling, so I never felt frustrated. fully voice acted, a great story frame, bits of platforming puzzles and choices! my only regret was not purchasing it from the devs. I hope this game gets the exposure it deserves and we get a sequel!!

Can’t Play

Amazing, yet the same

I played Jenny LeClue when it first came out on Apple Arcade. Loved it. It’s an amazing game with great art, an engaging story line, and easy to play controls. So, when I saw it in the App Store I bought & downloaded it. Hoping that after all these years, the devs had added/finished the game. They have not. Upon further research, it looks like they may have abandoned the project. So, if you are new to Jenny LeClue, just beware that there is no satisfaction in the ending, since the game is purposely unfinished. And it’s been this way since 2019. For that reason, I can’t give it 5 stars.

My daughter and I love playing this one together. Great vibe during the fall/Halloween season. The Arcade version was playable on Apple TV. Bring that back and this review goes to 5 stars.
