About

Think you could run a dairy farm? Paddock Boss puts you in the gumboots of a New Zealand farm manager — from your first calving season through to building a top-performing herd. Every decision matters. Choose your breeding strategy, manage your pastures through the seasons, keep your staff happy, and balance the books while the bank manager watches. Make the right calls and you'll be farming for decades. Get it wrong and you'll be selling up by autumn. Built around real NZ dairy farming — seasons follow the southern hemisphere calendar, cows have individual genetics and production curves, and your choices have consequences that ripple across seasons. FEATURES Manage individual cows with unique genetics, health, and production Rotational grazing with real pasture growth modelling Hire staff, buy equipment, and upgrade your operation Navigate events driven by your farm's actual state — not random pop-ups Breed for milk solids, fertility, and herd improvement Handle mastitis outbreaks, droughts, calving emergencies, and compliance inspections Track your bulk tank SCC, milk grading, and payout Recurring characters: your vet, bank manager, neighbours, and stock agent Multiple seasons of storylines and event chains Whether you're a farming student, a townie who's always wondered, or a dairy farmer who wants to see if a game gets it right — Paddock Boss is for you.
