Take command and turn your faction into the most powerful in all of Europa!
In an alternate reality in 1920s Europa, it's been several years since the "Great War", but the ashes of the conflict are still hot and the war is entering a new phase. The first conflict saw the emergence of some incredible engines of war known as Mechs. Built by "The Factory", an independent city-state which has since become the object of everyone's desire, these technological monstrosities roam the snowy landscapes of Europa. Be the hero of one of the five factions – Saxony Empire, Crimean Khanate, Rusviet Union, Polania Republic or Nordic Kingdom – and become the richest and most powerful nation in all of Europa during these dark times! To assure the victory of your people, you will need to explore and conquer new territories, enlist new recruits and deploy your forces by building formidable and terrifying combat Mechs. Replay history in a fictional past full of mechanical engines and technology, where each choice you make will be critical. Choose your battles with care, because in Scythe, victory is achieved with and for the people! Gameplay: • Asymmetry: every player starts the game with different resources (energy, coins, keen combat sense, popularity…), a different starting location and a secret objective. The starting positions are specifically set to contribute to the uniqueness of every faction and the asymmetrical nature of the game. • Strategy: Scythe offers players almost complete control over their fate. The only elements of chance apart from each player's individual secrete objective card are the Encounter cards, which players draw to interact with the citizens of newly explored lands. Combat is also handled by way of choice; no luck or chance is involved. • Engine Building: Players can improve their construction abilities to become more efficient, build structures that improve their position on the map, enlist new recruits into their faction, activate mechs to dissuade opponents from invading and expand their borders to reap greater types and quantities of resources. This aspect creates a feeling of energy and progression over the course of the entire game. The order in which players get to develop their economy and technologies adds to the unique feel of every game, even when playing as the same faction several times. edited after dlc added: the digital version of Scythe is highly enjoyable and suggested to any fans of the board game. My only complaint involves some touch issues with small touch points.

Graphics are good (Legends of Andor Style) and even better when artwork on figures is activated. (Beards 'n' all). Playing the physical game and found it useful to play the app Tutorial to understand most of the game, though player board layout is different. I would reccomend this to new players of the physical game. It would be nice if the game had 'The Wind Gambit' and 'The Rise of Fenris' expansions as the tabletop has. Awesome game. Bought Expansion, Waiting for others......................!

Excellent adaptation of the board game. One minor complaint. Is there a way to slow down the opponent turn? Everything happens so fast you don't get a chance to see what they did. Suddenly their coins or combat cards a piling up and I'm not sure why? Be nice to slow that part down so I can figure out what went on. Other than that, great game.

Great fun. My only struggle is that sometimes the color contrast (on a phone) is not so good; it's often hard to see how many meeples or resources are on a given hex. It might help if we could zoom in more than is already possible. It did help to add the more detailed (painted) meeples. Otherwise, it's been good to have when my game group isn't up for a night of Scythe! I do have a question though: I purchased an expansion in-game, but can't figure out how to find it in the menus. Help!!!

I emailed the developpers regarding an issue with the app a couple days ago and I do not have a response, not even an acknowledgement. Very poor. Update. Fixed the problems I had, so upped the rating but still no reply from the devs. Are they still working on this app?

Really good for solo mode but abysmal for async multiplayer. Notifications don't work at all and there's no option to undo moves within turns making it very unforgiving. There's also no option for an unlimited timer and setting turn time is oddly difficult. I love this game and would love to give a higher score but without these issues being fixed I can't.

unfortunately my audio isn't working on Scythe app on my Galaxy S24 Ultra. so now I'm left with a game that I have to play on,mute all the time. would've been so much fun with all the sound effects and music. Can't buy expansions because even the base game isn't that fun without sound.

I’m disappointed after paying for the game and expansion. In 31 games, three hard bots never beat me. They make choices that undermine their credibility. Other errors so far. Polania lacks a Riverwalk mech description.Togawa didn't allow trap placement after the first time. Game doesn’t always save progress early on

Slow clunky and a rather boring

The application is bad the game is excellent. In mobile the interfaces change and you cant even roam when others play. There is no combo bidding which is essential cause some combinations have no chance in high level players. You cant even see stats or roam after you win there are pop up windows with stats for seconds which you cant keep sewing in Android. If you speak on the phone you may not be able to interact if you don't restart your game.Meanwhile the bot plays for you and may destroy you.

Playable but broken. The biggest rule in the game is not doing the same move twice, but it is allowed and I'm pretty sure the game did not give me the enlisted buffs when I had maxed out my upgrades or buildings but still payed the price. The board interface isn't too clear compared to the real one. Makes it difficult to learn the real game and practice getting better.

Really love the board game and got the app to play with friends since we live in different countries. Unfortunately there are a lot of quality of life improvements needed for this feature. I wish I could create a private game and give the code to my friends so we don't all have to be in lobby at the same time and so random people aren't joining my game. There also should be a better undo move feature while it's still your turn. Wingspan's app was way better developed

Great design, but the ai is not that great. I can stomp bots on hard while I still struggle to get 50/50 win rate on normal automa. The AI can do attacks when they are guaranteed to lose. They can also go into a sure win and then low bid and skip card so they lose. I dunno, but good practice with different factions.
