The game is fun! And as I keep playing I discover that there is more to the game that apparent at first. Though it seems a bit to easy. (at least at first). I wish they would build more upon traditional chess and then introduced weapons and graphics. I don't think there is anything like that or there(to my knowledge).

Great game, the controls are finicky but functional. What makes this a 3-star is the fact that I can't continue, especially when I tab out and do something on another app this one just craps out and I gotta restart the whole run.

where are the mobile games that are trying to extract every penny out of you like clash Royale and then there are mobile games that know their value charge a small upfront fee and feel like endlessly high quality. if the mobile game you are booting up doesn't feel like you've booted up a game on the Xbox it's probably trying to leech every dollar out of you. this is an excellent game not like that at all

Excellent concept of Roguelike game. I used to play chess a lot and this game is an excellent and fun way to come back without the pressure of losing any ELO points. One thing I kinda don't like is the touch control when shooting is a bit off and sometimes not accurate. But luckily it has a full native support for plug and play controllers lile gamesir x3 pro. So I suggest to play this with a controller for a better experience, also I wish they improve the touch control.

Great game! Could use some tweaks for a better mobile experience. Such as moving the shotgun icon to the bottom of the board to make it easier to tap with your thumbs. Also, having a portrait mode option would be especially convenient.

Some interesting take on chess. My only problem is there no save between stages. It might not be big issue on PC, but it's tricky to finish one run in mobile. At least having some save/exit option between stages will be awesome. Or trigger save the moment "app minimise" could be useful.

did see this game on pc at first. i did played it before and it was very fun. i like this sort of roguelike games. very fun indeed. for me i give it 9 shotgun shells out of 10 shotgun shells.

I remember enjoying the demo on steam a lot a while back, and never managed to get to the end of it, so I expected i was buying a game with a challenge to it. Completed the game in about 10 minutes. Balancing is terrible. theres essentially nothing else of interest, and apparently its against policy to give refunds for this game?? i regret giving them anything.

very good game, the only thing its missing is constant saving and being able to go back to your old session. since its now a mobile game its very easy to get distracted and put your phone away from some time. when you get back your run is wiped, would be awesome if there was a continue option like with the other rogue likes on mobile

Very fun, well made game that executes well on the base concept. my only complaint is that there's no way to save progress on a run, and the game resets if you don't play for long enough. with save files it would be an easy 5 stars.

The game is pretty fun, but it has some issues, mainly with the mobile experience: - text font and color can be hard to read on a phone screen - run cannot be saved (as far as I can see). For me, for a phone rogue-lite this is a deal breaker. I play the game while waiting or on small downtime between activities, but losing all progress of a run because I couldn't play without a break makes me want to play something else instead

If you choose not to sign into a google account to play then the game will send you to a "failed to log in to google account" screen with only one button to try again to log in, I don't like being strongarmed into logging in to an account I dont want to use, and there appears to be no other way to make the game run

Shotgun King is a solid game with simple mechanics that grow complex when stacked and allows for all sorts of strange builds. While certain things aren't explained in full, it's a roguelike, so you're expected to learn through runs One star down because it doesn't autosave after every complete level, and sometimes just restarts if you go to another app, which is kind of annoying when I'm playing at the bus stop, swap to my transit app, and come back to see my progress all gone.

I bought this thinking it could be a really fun spin on chess. It's not. Chess is really just a thematic backdrop to a game about studying and understanding a massive array of random power ups and how they will affect you. Most power ups just make things more complicated to track so you have to go more and more slowly. I also absolutely will not get over the fact that the opposing king is allowed to put you in check; just makes no sense if you play chess and removes a lot of strategic interest.

i absolutely love this game being on mobile like this and have always loved shotgun king the only thing I dislike is the aiming I would prefer a setting where you aim directly from the king instead of the stick type aiming that's it's just how I would enjoy it more through a setting and I hate having to reset every time I have to do anything else so it's down another star would be five stars if those things were changed

I love this game so much on my ps5 and was BEGGING for it to be ported to mobile! finally got my wish 😀 the controls work well and the game is just so addictive, I can't put it down and I'm playing it even more than before on PS.

Great game but like others have said, the inability to save progress mid-run makes it unplayable. If you switch to another app, you have to start the run over. Literally the only thing that takes this from 5 stars to 1.

this game is genuinely painful experience, there are so few white cards that add pawns, filling the back row with minor and major peices with no pawns to keep them from swarming you in the opening. there are so few black cards that are actually good, and very VERY little synergy between the cards (unless blessed by RNG). and maybe worst of all, the amount of content doesn't justify the price... I have never refunded in my life but there's a first time for everything I guess

what a great game. I love it. very well balanced and keeps you coming back for more. 1 star less because there's no save feature which is crucial on mobile so if I play, it has to be a complete game or else I lose all my progress. that is absolutely crucial for any mobile game edit: downgraded to 2 stars because I got a call and lost my progress at round 9
