if you like advanced wars. This is a great alternative!
- Micah Spainhour · v1.0
punishing with very little guidance. the game brick walls you pretty often between easy missions with no choice but to trial and error until you find one of the very very limited ways you can get out of specifically unfair starting situations.
- Max Roeder · v1.0
Love the game. Lots of fun. But omg, it needs an undo option. On a phone it's so easy to accidentally hit the wrong thing. It can ruin an advance that you've been building up for many moves and is so frustrating. Other than that, five stars.
- Rogue Symmetry · v1.2
Mediocre strat game with no depth and little humor.
- TK_200 · v1.2
I recently purchased the game, and everything works, including the map editor on 32‑bit devices. However, the game crashes instantly every time I enter a level, whether in single‑player or local‑multiplayer mode. The installed version is 1.0 build 101. I have already sent an email but haven’t received a response. I hope this issue is resolved soon, as I’m eager to play the game. 😭
- yambaca · v1.0
a very strategic war game that includes various mechanics. awesome.
- Luke Cannata · v1.0
Missing features originally included with the game and the devs have chosen to re-release the game with fixes as a new purchase rather than fix the original app, seems like fraud to me since they charge money for both versions
- EuGruntled · v1.2
One of the best! I used play this on iPhone several years ago, didn't realize there was an Android version until I saw the Steam release several days ago. highly recommended if you like Advance Wars or turn-based strategy in general. I'm not very good at multiplayer at all but it is still very fun, and being asynchronous makes it very easy to pick up and play. Also, it's a full, high-quality game with no ads, no in app purchases, and no nonsense. just pure fun. Just buy it already!
- Jordan D. · v1.0
I’m a Hasbro-published game inventor. I’ve been trying many wargames for iphone. This is the best one, by a landslide. Not the next version, this one.
- T convert · v1.2
Fun just like Advanced Wars
- Ninja271 · v1.2
Just like advanced wars on the gameboy. So much fun. If advanced wars was a part of your childhood that you remember fondly, then this is a game you need to purchase. Great game I have not one complaint.
- pewpew gotcha · v1.0
As good as it gets.
- Ephemeral
Pretty good game but some gameplay mechanics are annoying. For example, game doesn't your progress after your last move. Also, you can't deploy any unit or use your hq's special bonuses if there's any unit occupying the buildings
- Muhd Zaidi
great game thx to the support who made this it's a fun game
- eli labryer · v1.0
great game, just like advance wars used to be.
- Owen Inglese · v1.0
I normally wait for games to go on sale, but I also periodically hunt around for promising tactical/turn-based games because it's one of my favorite genres, especially for mobile, and this game is easily one of the best on GP. It's clearly inspired by games like Advance Wars, but it stands alongside that series with equal quality. it's nice to look at, it has all the features you would expect from this kind of game and it has great writing and a very slick UI. It was totally worth the purchase.
- disky · v1.0
Great fun until I got stuck - I'll be back 😁
- Andy Small · v1.0
Great tactical war game that distills the genre perfectly for mobile or any other platform really.
- kurt patzelt · v1.0
Great little strategy game to play on the go, my only complaint is that the mute audio buttons do not work so I cannot play and listen to anything else without absolutely maddening extremely loud clanking noises interrupting my music.
- Will Morrison · v1.0
fun but why are there not more offline skirmish matches? need more to give us something to do on flights after beating the campaign
- Brice Rosa · v1.0
Good quality, not a ton of content.
- Leif Laitinen · v1.0
Campaign is WAY too short, powers are over emphasized, ultimately a very shallow game.
- Yonder Low · v1.0
this is a must own mobile game. I can't express how underrated this is. I only heard about it from a random YouTube video and decided to try it. it took a minute to understand how it works but once I figured it out I couldn't put it down for like 8 hours. and I'm excited to play more of it. it's almost like if starcraft met into the breach. super strategic but it does a good job of easing you in.
- zach riley · v1.0
Campaign is fun but really short. There's no skirmish against the ai either (or at least a clear way to do it)
- Dylan G · v1.0
It was a great advance wars-like experience, but the unique art style made things not easily identifiable, and the story wasn't engaging.
- John Stuart Holsinger · v1.0
Just buy it.
- ifeanyi uzoma · v1.0
Really fun game. Only 4 stars as you can't play custom/generated maps offline against a bit, it only lets you play their campaign/ missions.
- Jim · v1.0
It's like Advance Wars but with a cutesy art style. Plenty of unit variety and requires a lot of strategy. Enjoyable campaign to work through. Absolutely worth the price for fans of Advance Wars!!!
- Tom Wilson · v1.0
Remove online just local to prevent lags thank you.
- jayfreak143 · v1.2
Do you remember Advance Wars? Warbits is an amazing translation of the classic, but now for mobile. No ads, clear HUD. The 1€ is very worth it!
- Manuel Villarroya · v1.0
You can’t restart missions
- The Doc80 · v1.2
The general gameplay is good, just like common turn-based-battle games with city capture and unit production. However, I'm disappointed that movement and attack range are calculated rigidly on straight horizontal and vertical (diagonal is counted as greater than 1 unit length). It messes up the initial plans. Sure I'll get used to it, but the overall maneuvers will always be unpleasant to see, e.g. adjacent 1-range units won't be able to attack if they're diagonal to each other.
- Adnan
It’s a good game, but I think there is a bug on the menu because there are no options to restart the level, etc.
- Aecd1987 · v1.2
It’s a great game that can help kill the time when you are at the airport or dmv. But man, it’s so addicting it can take up a big chunk of your time if you are not disciplined. It’s similar to advance wars with the same infantry, artillery, tanks, and air units. Quirky story but amazing level layout. It makes you think and solve, and rates you on your performance. Gold is good but blue is best. Aim for all blue and you have a game that last you a very good long while. Totally worth the $5.
- Dukxing · v1.2
Solid game, really enjoying it so far. Can't wait for the steam release!
- Rob Rapson · v1.0
It's a great game, but lacks a significant amount of polish.
- Rabih Salam
Love it very much.
- Agam Rosyidi · v1.0
Incrediblly fun
- Karl J · v1.0
Android's Advanced Wars
- Petros Moros · v1.0
Great game, similar to advance wars. Hope the dev keeps going, warbits 2, please.
- Rob · v1.0
Solid visuals and soundtrack, if you enjoy games like advanced wars or wargroove this might be the best mobile equivalent.
- Bingus Bungus · v1.0
Nice game, could do with controller support and a few graphical changes so that different units are easier to distinguish from each other, then it would be 5*
- Marc Russell · v1.0
Very reminiscent of advanced wars. There is some simplification in the combat which I think makes it more approachable for newbies but that I don't mind as a veteran. They also added some variety in the cities that earn income which I think is a very neat mechanic and makes maps and capturing more interesting
- Keith Rice · v1.0
If you like games like Advance Wars, Warbits is a must. ★Pros: +Scratches Advance Wars itch while still feeling unique. +Map editor +Local Vs allows for players & CPUs +a list of unique powers feel impactful but not OP. ★Minor cons: -Map editor UI doesn't deselect previous options when changing terrain, color, or units & lacks clear way to delete units. -Puzzles exit to skirmish menu. ★Wishlist: -Map editor had "Space" tile from campaign. -Map editor had or can unlock endgame's 'synth' tileset.
- Robert Clark · v1.0
outstanding advance wars clone
- Jim Rivera · v1.0
it's great, not bad. you buy.
- Austin Gotcher · v1.0
the best strategy game you could ever find.
- Hemant Verma · v1.0
Charming, well-made, balanced. Very good. My only criticism so far is that I've noticed a few typos in the text. Hopefully they get corrected in a future update. If you like Advance Wars or Fire Emblem, check this game out immediately!
- J · v1.0
Let me start by saying, I really enjoy this game. it reminds me a lot of advanced wars. The reason I’m giving it one star is because in spite of emailed pleas no work has been done to repair some of the games functions lost in a recent update. Mainly the ability to close or restart current battles. Please do something about this. Thanks!
- Crusader57301 · v1.2
I am unable to restart a mission. It makes the game unplayable.
- backwardselvis · v1.2
Impossible to resign from missions, due to bug that hides that UI element. Can’t play the game like this. $5 down the drain. Thank you very much :(
- Disappointment231 · v1.2
This game is great. If u love old Gameboy Advance Wars then this is just like it. And it has a bunch of fun armies that talk smack and have cool stories.
- Threebrain4real · v1.2
This is better
- Tomeslc · v1.2
Bought this game awhile back now all of a sudden you can’t surrender. So now I have to play the map and just do kamikaze in order to try a different approach on the map. It’s stupid I would not buy this game, developers talking the code is no longer supported then fix it and change the code genius. Multimillion company but don’t have a tech that can fix this is kind of saying to your customers go F themselves
- chicken wings 1413 · v1.2
I’m on iOS 16 and the surrender feature is gone. Moreover, you can’t cut through all the opposing teams moves. In other words, I have to play games I know I’m going to lose and spend up to 80% of that game watching the computer play. It makes this game terribly un-user friendly when it could be a lot of fun. This is a super easy fix but it’s been at least a problem since march. Can someone do a quick update?
- 24th attempt at a nickname · v1.2
The game used to have a “surrender” option under main menu in case you want to leave and start over. Now we can’t do that anymore (the option has disappeared). I’ll update to 5 stars after this because it’s a fun game but unfortunately it’s very annoying to have to play a whole long mission through to the end if you just want to start over instead. Easy fix so please do it asap dev team
- Zamir Bhimji · v1.2
Unable to progress any further past 5-4 because of the ridiculous one sided map. The enemy has over half the map and resources along with twice amount of mech/air/infantry at start. I’m so mad, this company paid for reviews.
- Gtafan410 · v1.2
It’s ok but got boring quickly
- e w a n · v1.2
Would be even better with controller support!
- j.lane · v1.2
So what if I’m about 6 years late on this review? I started playing Warbits again recently and it hit me that I’ve never left an honest review for it. It’s never too late I guess. That being said, this game is LEGIT. It has been one of my favorite iOS games since it was released years ago, and has been one of my favorite strategy games in general. I’ve played a lot of them, so please take that as a big compliment. I won’t drag this review on, because other reviewers have already praised it for its gameplay, visual style, music, dialogue, etc., etc., but DANG I love this game! The only super minor complaint I have is that it’s not full screen on my iPhone 11, and that once in a while little glitches will happen here and there, like charges flying off the screen upon earning them, and a few icons not lining up properly. I’m still giving it 5 stars though, because for a game that’s been around this long, it’s still super fun and looks great. Devs, please create more games, or magically update this one, because bravo! Sincerely, thank you for this gem.
- Gremkins · v1.2
If you’re missing good ole advance wars 1/2 on the switch, or like me you’re patiently biting your nails waiting for the reboot…. Then this game is for you! Trust me, it’s well worth the pricetag for the nostalgia it’ll bring. Even the music is styled after good ole AW. So goooooooood 🤘
- Zaek_ · v1.2
As a long time Advance Wars fan, I turned to this when Nintendo recently postponed the AW remake. It was a blast, with some rule changes to keep things fresh, and steady elevation of the challenge in the campaign, which I just finished. I should mention I turned away from Warbits years ago because I thought the unit graphics were hard to distinguish. I still think that, but it is very much worth the effort. Can’t wait for the upcoming sequel!
- Thornburgh · v1.2
This Advanced Wars clone is great, it runs smoothly and is a ton of fun. I’ll admit i bought it for the nostalgia and it delivers 100%. It needs more DLC campaings but there is plenty of content to justify the 5 bucks.
- abaybay99 · v1.2
The game feels a little like Advanced Wars. They story is not super serious nor deep but I would say it is a fun experience when you need to scratch your strategy game itch on the go. It also works alright on MacOS even if the controls were not designed for it.
- Jedimasternx01 · v1.2
Sorry to write this in a review but couldn’t find another place to report a bug. When I have a unit on HQ, how do I tap it to pull up the powers menu? There needs to be a way added to do this. Other than that really liking the game, filling the Advanced Wars void from childhood
- cfinn16 · v1.2
It is very cleanly made, and as far as mobile games go, it doesn't get much better.
- RaanCloud06 · v1.2
Wish to see Warbits+ as soon as possible.
- wufeeei · v1.2
If you are looking for a copy of Advance Wars on your phone, this is about as close as you can get! It doesn’t have the battle cutscenes, but frankly, I didn’t miss them. Even the art style feels like a modernized AW. Lots of different game modes here, and great fun. Sadly, it’s been several years since it was updated…
- HouseOfHomuth · v1.2
Yes it’s got all the same idea s but it’s really a lot more.Anyone who has been a fan of this type of turn base tactics will love this.
- Hwdb1234? · v1.2
It's a good advanced wars like game. It's doesn't look super in good in my opinion. I had to ding it a star because I found all the missions pretty easy and then the last mission was next to impossible for me. I had to give up trying and that's kinda of disappointing. I know plenty of others have beaten it. I guess I'm not so good at the game. Wish there was a difficulty setting or something. Oh well it's not the end of the world. All in all its pretty fun. Definitely worth the money and it's super nice there isn't any of the stupid in app purchases garbage.
- Maine Jay Bird · v1.2
Excellently made game, enticing graphics and gameplay. Has that “one more turn” and “one more battle” draw. Definitely worth its price. As I’m addicted to Advance Wars the past 3 weeks it’s great to find a similar game but with a unique look. Using the touch screen on iPad is a little less enjoyable than using GB’s buttons/cursor interface. Like that you can zoom in and out easily. I’m at level 2-3 and so far it’s been fun, not *extremely* challenging yet but it’s getting warmer each successive screen.
- donnie1967 · v1.2
Game has potential... just make a multiplayer mode with 1 minute turns and BOOM perfect! It’s a good game besides the Looooooonng turns on multiplayer.
- LingLing4150 · v1.2
If your looking for advance wars this game is just about the same thing needs to add battle ships but that’s all it is missing love this game
- papa baehr · v1.2
Great turn based strategy. Highly recommended.
- Uncle Rico 777 · v1.2
The design, look and feel are all so charming in this game. You can tell the creators wanted to bring back the simple and dynamic gameplay from the iconic game boy advance days. The only thing is that I can’t help but compare it with advance wars. So I do miss the stronger character designs along with the co powers to give that individual play style to whomever wishes. Still though, this was an excellent purchase. Great game.
- abdjdnskk · v1.2
But the reply value could be a bit low. If your looking for quick and easy nostalgia with funny characters and fun art then you’ll be happy.
- Gingerbreadman · v1.2
Great products are sometimes hard to find but this is a must own on iPad or iPhone. Supremely well done! More please!
- Lowlande52 · v1.2
Needs to be updated for the newer phones please!
- AntiHero757 · v1.2
It’s an amazing game but it is missing navel combat I would love to se a four player map that you have take islands if you don’t had it is still a great game but It would make it better and can you add a multiplayer campaign using the sectors from the campaign
- James mi · v1.2
If you miss the gameplay of Advance Wars, then look no more! Warbits is the Advance Wars port that Nintendo has not yet published.
- Rypryp · v1.2
Fun and easy to use but multiplayer doesn’t work and story is too short
- kdjeid)wishd · v1.2
This game is so frustrating. I never felt like I was getting better at it. This is a free game at best. Paying $5 makes me feel like a shmuck.
- Donkey Hybrid · v1.2
Great game, although does experience some bugs. I wish they would work on more levels, features and maps. I would pay for them!!
- Aaronpe · v1.2
Game takes on a weird half horizontal, half vertical layout on the newest iPhone. No sound comes out and the menu screen cuts off labels half way through the screen. Please fix this
- Charlie Burnett · v1.2
Great, although weird game. More complex then you would think. Only negative is the lack of a new campaign. Extensive first first campaign and and add on skirmish like mode.
- Rickus22 · v1.2
It’s an amazing game in the Wars series style, but it’s more than just another clone. Well thought out, tactical and strategic play backed up by beautiful graphics and matchmaking puts it at the top of the genre.
- TheFuzzFace · v1.2
Love the games I think it needs to add more units like a new tank or mortar but besides that I love your game. You should watch include JoJo reference JK
- -Rabid09 · v1.2
AI relies on cheating to win and it’s kind of a cheap mechanic. Matches against people are easier and more fair since...well...It’s fair.
- SneakyKitteh · v1.2
Why would I buy a game that gets boring in a week or so. The developers need to be active and update this game. Two years?! So inactive!
