I'm learning the game at the moment, but I can't even read some of the speech bubbles explaining the game, that's pretty terrible design. I've heard this is a great game though, I really hope this gets fixed.

A decent worker placement game marred by quirks to the digital adaptation. The rules are copied directly from the physical rulebook, but lack explanations on the physical game pieces - so, for example, you cannot see anywhere in the app how many VP you gain for the "armour track", not even in the rules menu. Even with all sound set to "mute", the app disables all other sound from other sources. AI is not up to par. No updates or fixes for years - feels abandonware-ish.

The game plays upside down on my google pixel tablet. it is not like the Netflix game Vikings Valhalla, which I thought it would replace. just not my kind of game. will refund soon.

This is a great adaptation of the board game. I would give 5 stars if the app didn't take audio focus everytime it's opened. If multitasking while playing a game, it should be the user's choice to listen to audio they choose. This makes me want to get out of the game as quickly as possible.

2024 update: **** no bugs or changes playing single player vs AI for a few years now. 2020 **** A well-done board game. App has problems which causes it to freeze or blank screen. The result is that I have lost some wins and challenges completed. FYI, another user said you can't see what's on each card in your hand by tapping. You can by holding the tap for a second.

pretty good implementation of the boardgame. small problems like not knowing how many points will be given for valkeries and shields, need to be able to zoom more so the place that you want to raid can be easily selected in order to minimize the risk of attacking the wrong place, and if you are listening to music on spotify or other platforms the music is cut out when opening the game and while selecting what type of game you want to play.

Why is this game so slow to load? It's fun but takes forever to open and load the match. It's really annoying. Edit: My device is up-to-date, and the game's last update was 1 year ago, so I downloaded the latest version. 1 year has passed, and you didn't find what's causing the issue.

It's a good digital version of a boardgame that I also own. The campaign was good and challenging, but it's rather short. I enjoy games where I can play against the AI, but this one feels repetitive once the campaign is done. Since your ability to choose what you do is so limited each turn, it often feels like you have no control over any strategy; you can only really play what's available, and the only thing that makes one player different from another are the cards you draw, which are random.

It's a pretty good implementation but it currently is quite slow to load a multiplayer game when switching between apps. The game could also really use a play log to see what your opponents did if left running, and make the count of how many offerings are remaining a bit more obvious. Otherwise the UI is pretty good. Would love an expansion but that isn't reflected in the rating.

Please add time limit to multiplayer games! I can't remember the last time I played because it's been stuck on a player. Wish there was a general undo or a confirm button for most actions. Sometimes you accidentally slip on one building vs going to one I wanted to go. No update.

I only play local solo games. The implementation is good, but I don't like that there is no history of events being recorded. Often items get stolen and I don't event see it happening and no way to look back at the events that caused it.

I know I'm not this bad of a player. The solo campaign is downright frustrating and not in a good way. I seem to be unable to progress at all past the townsfolk stage. Being forced to go first can be a disadvantage. The AI is always one step ahead since you can't really recruit before them unless you are lucky enough to get a cheap guy in your draw. Then, in the late stages it makes it impossible for you to get to the pawns to make the moves you need to make to win. It's just needlessly complex.

Paid real money and I haven't been able to play a single multiplayer online game. I'm not interested in playing against bots. If there is a multiplayer mode it should be available to play. I realize it may work but the game is so dead theres never anyone on there. I really wish I could get a refund.

Fun game and great app to teach rules/gameplay. Lower rating as the app constantly crashes/tech issues. Have to open and close multiple times to get started and if you ever leave the main screen and come back it usually just goes black and you must close the app. Other issues would be lack of option to go back after selecting a location if you changed your mind. Also, it is far too easy to mishit a location when raiding. Pricing is far too high
